After endless frustration with the audio system in my 2013 Toyota Rav4, I decided to make a video showing how the vehicle's bluetooth streaming audio (BTSA) overrides other audio inputs. Watch as I listen to my iPod, only to have BTSA override the input, disconnect the iPod and begin streaming audio. Very frustrating.

I just got the 2013 Rav 4 Limited. And if i listen to my ipod with bluetooth, the song plays fast and slow and normal and fast again...it doesnt streem corectly. If I plug my ipod with the USB cable, it plays for a minute or two and then stops. BT doesnt overwrite it, but it just stop and screen freeze. Next step is to try the AUX cable but i wish i could either use BT or USB. How do you do that Entune update ?

My problem is that if I connect my music at any given time, I can’t watch anything else in my phone. For instance, we were trying to watch movie trailers and it would never play the video audio because the music would jump back into playing. Both coming from Bluetooth on the same device.

I know it's been a while, but did you ever find a fix for this? Bluetooth seems like a nice option for streaming music, but I can understand preferring to use a standalone iPod. Also, what trim is this RAV4? LE, XLE?

Hi David, Eventually this problem was fixed with an Entune update. It's a Limited model. Hope that helps!

Right on. Thanks for the update. I ended up getting an LE and I'm mostly using BT for music, but I do like that USB shows the album artwork.
