I was in Raymond James Stadium that day. From the upper deck and 40 yards away, that hit still sounded like a train-wreck when it happened. Everyone around me had the same reaction: "Holy $hit!"
Me and my sister were at the game and we were on the other side of the field and we could hear the hit ive been watching football a long time and thats the best hit ive ever seen and Clowney recovered the fumble amazing player just wish he could go pro in 2013 instead of waiting another year.
That's what you call a head banger!!! This man been for real.Straight Beast and if it wasn't for that 3yr rule out of high school he would be 1st round easy this year draft.
Man when Clowney delivered that hit, the only thing that came to my mind was, "Holy Crap, what a hit" lol this was a classic Gamecock moment and one of the best hits ever in football history. Just goes to show other teams should pay attention to the forecast, "Clowney with a chance of pain" GO GAMECOCKS!!!
Amazing hit. One of the best if not the best hit I've ever seen. Clowney's a beast. Hey, can you load that Clowney tfl hit on Robinson late in the game? Thanks!
This was helmet to helmet, but it was incidental. Clowney's helmet hits Smiths face mask. His was down as soon as he gets off the ball and dodges a defender, he has no time to raise up and get his head in place. Vincent Smith was coming forward anyway so the helmets would have hit. Point blank. It's just amazing how fast Clowney makes this play. In 2 seconds, he's off the line, dodging a blocker, and destroying Smith.
ok every offensive coordinator should take note going into next season. DON'T TRY TO TRAP BLOCK JADEVEON CLOWNEY! When you do this is what happens. Perfect timing on the stun call by the deffensive coordinator. Within two steps clowny was in the running back's face and the pulling guard was looking back like damn he's fast haha.
Too bad that at the NFL level it would be called helmet to helmet contact and a huge fine. A text book hit is the one Stanford put on Wisconsin WR in the Rose Bowl.
they werent trying to trap him this particular play, he was lined up inside the TE, TE shoulda blocked down on him, and the pulling guard was up to the LB, IF he was outside the TE then they woulda trapped him
Go to scgogamecocks blogspot for Gamecock News and links to post game presser. What a hit. The link is to Clowney explaining how the bad call made him mad, lol
I have to agree. My two top hits for the year is this hit as #1. Then Kenny Bell of Nebraska's huge block during the Big 10 championship game (which was a bull shit flag penalty on it)
Yeah bruh I'm a big University of Southern California team which is why I hate it when someone calls South Carolina USC when they really aren't. Should just call them SCU
