I have an older version of these on my 2003 4dr Explorer. They ride super nice, much better than the blown out stock ones. And to be honest once i dialed back the knob on the bottom a bit they got super comfortable on the road.

I ran them on my 04 AC 4x4 Tundra with no issues at all. I installed them August of 21 and sold it with them a few months ago. I took them on a lot of rough terrain and forest service roads and they performed well.

I wouldn’t do one immediately after I would drive in them couple hundred miles then get one gives it time for your shocks to settle then that’s when you would want to do an alignment

They are junk, spend the money n get icons or bilstiens!! The "adjustable " cheap plastic dial snapped off 1st week n rancho would not cover it, n they completely rusted in 5 months!! Terrible crap

Love my rancho quick lift coilovers. I am able to notice a huge difference from setting 1 softest to 9 stiffest.

Southern Nevada offroading and back country nice to hear I just don’t wanna end up regretting them and wishing I went with the fox. But since you’ve had them a year and they haven’t lowered like many complain about I may get the ranchos. Have a good night!

I just realized these are 2.75in and the ones they have for my 2012 are only 2 inch. So mine could settle a little less than level. Pics shouldn’t be necessary now that I realize they’re different but I really appreciate it

had these on my 2008 f150 7 lug HD for 100k roughly probably more. i used an abused these struts. handling was a drastic improvement. now i have a 2018 f150 gonna purchase another set A++++ in my opinion

Wouldn't you want to tighten the upper control arms with the vehicle on the ground, at ride height? That can lead to premature failure of your UCA Bushings..

I know this is old but that is when you replace the control arm and tighten the control arm bolts to not stress the control arm bushing. That's not necessary for just unbolting the upper ball joint.

Actually they skipped every detail.... torque specifications, setting position of control arms, greasing and cleaning vac hubs. Didn't put load on suspension before tightening anything and didn't mention the need for an alignment.

Mine worked great until the bushings worn out, no replacment bushings for it! Rancho should make replacment bushings for there struts

I have some on my 06 F150. They aren’t bad on and off road however the spring saga like a mother after a bit. Mine started sagging at around 7,000 miles or so. Not a whole lot but a noticeable amount.

I have them on the 2018 and they seem to be doing just fine. All shocks will sag over time. These give 2.75 inches of lift so after they sag you will be at about 2 inches at the least. Which is still a good look in my opinion

Should you replace the UCA or atleast add the aftermarket bracket for correct geometry? I have a level on my truck and it eats axels and control arm ball joints because of this

I had to put a thicker block in rear to make it more level. Was hoping it would settle in front but it didnt. The front bring little slightly higher drove me nuts.

You guys forgot to replace the upper control arms with the tubular rancho for better geometry... that’s why you can feel stiffness it’s because the original upper control arm is not working properly and it feels harsh... if you change the control arm with the tubulars from rancho it will feel better that stock

I have this Kit and I love it, but the lower bushings are now worn out and I cannot replace them. Can I only replace the strut in this QuickLift Kit ?

Stage 3 Motorsports just curious what would happen if you added a strut spacer to the top of the strut in the video I know the cv axle would be put at an odd angle but what other challenges would there be just curious?!

It would be nice if you could make a tool break down list. So when you go to do this type of install you know what you need so you don't dive in and realize you don't have that socket or don't have that size wrench.

Great video! Did you guys have to cut or modify the crash bars in any way? I went up in tire size and have rubbing on the front crash bars after leveling. Any recommendations on how to solve the issue?

When you guys use spacers. How often do you check the torc on them? I'm a little hesitant to use them on my daily driver.

either way they can be checked regularly for reassurance, but we have never had any problems with them coming loose in all of the years using wheel or strut spacers

@@jessemccarthy05 I'm probably going to go with the Bilstein. I live in a winter climate, and from what I've heard through other reviews the Rancho selection dial seizes and corrodes. The Eibach are quite a bit more expensive for me and they seem to be nearly identical, so the Bilstein just make more sense. The thing that keeps drawing me to Eibach is that their kit comes with new springs rather than reusing the factory.

Ammar The front strut mount on the lower control arm changed from a standard Clevis to a bar-and-pin mount from the 9-13 to 2014 Model Years.

There was a slight difference in height between the spacer and this coilover. The Rancho Quicklift gives you a max lift of 2" while the spacer was a 2.25" lift.

Could you confirm for other viewers that all of that work of disassembling the knuckles, etc, is not necessary? I imagine that was only necessary because you had a spacer on the old strut? Should be a pretty easy swap otherwise.

We install coilovers this way because we have found it to be the easiest to work with the strut assembly on install and removal. Other installers might have had success without some of the extra knuckle disassembly, we just choose to take a couple extra steps for ease of install sake.

Garret Rowe I’ve installed these on 5 trucks ranging from 2010-2018. Never had to loosen anything other than the sway bar. Go to Rancho’s website, installation video and instructions even indicate it’s not necessary.

Hi James, we are still running the stock UCA's and have found they don't need to be replaced until lifting the truck higher that 3"

The UCA angle is based off of how much you lift the truck, not really on what type of leveling kit.

Stage 3 Motorsports then what is the benefit of getting the Rancho quick lift as opposed to just a strut spacer just a better ride I had a two and a half inch strut spacer on my 2010 F 150 and a road like shit that's why I'm trying to decide what to do for my 2018

Quicklifts are notorious for the spring perch to break off the strut. They are junk. Stay away from them.

2014-2018 F150s all use the same front coilover, due to switching over to a bar-pin mount from a clevis between the 2013 and 2014 model years. Rancho uses the same part number for fitments from 2014-2018.

This is correct. The lower mount in the coilover is the same 2014+ so install is identical
