Great information guys, thank you. I just bought a set of the 9000XL (2" lift) to replace the factory Ranchos on my 2011 Silverado that I had a plate installed to level the ride height (remove the rake). My old struts are way past their life cycle from using a snow plow each winter. Can't wait to install these struts to see the difference.

I have a 2011 Nissan Xterra are these direct bolt on or would I have to buy upper control arms?

You should leave it stock

Would a small spacer and these be good if i put the high articulation cv axles and control arms? Going for a 3 front 2 back.

They would 'work' - but not be good. We've experienced and heard a lot of feedback that when you add that much lift, with bigger wheels and tires, the rebound is pretty harsh off of bumps, potholes, driveways. New arms help on alignment, but these shocks dont add more droop travel to the truck, so you run out of room and will feel the clunk. We'd recommend saving a bit more and going with some Eibach coilovers or shocks to level out the truck, if you want that much height.

I’ve seen some videos where it was claimed that the Ranchos where worn out in less than 30,000 miles, rusted springs etc. Any experience with those issues? Thanks

@@ShockSurplus so if they 'wear out' after 30k would they be covered under the lifetime warranty? Thank you

If I get Rancho quick lift front shocks will the stock control arm and Ball joints handle the extra lift? 2008 f 150 4x4 is my truck.
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 5 месяцев назад
You should be just fine with the stock upper control arms however you would likely be happier with a lifted strut from just about any other brand. We have had a lot of complaints about ride and handling on the Ranchos on this generation of Ford trucks, so even if you are lucky enough to get a good set (increasingly unlikely these days) most of our customers are not exactly stoked with the ride or handling. www.shocksurplus.com/products/eibach-pro-truck-lift-system-stage-1-kit-for-2005-2008-ford-f150-4wd-w-2-6-lift

Will they still warranty the shocks/struts even though I am not the original purchaser of them nor have the receipt?
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 6 месяцев назад
Nope, almost no manufacturer will warranty second hand parts.

I just put the rancho quick lift on my Ford, set to the middle settings and it bounces like crazy. What did I do wrong
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 6 месяцев назад
Rancho usually likes to go really light on their rebound valving which does make them a little bouncy. As counterintuitive as it might sound it usually helps to stiffen them by a few clicks so the dampers do a better job of controlling the springs.

When adding a leveling kit to a later Silverado, is it prudent or required to purchase new A arms? I’m really thinking I’m just going to add 1.5” of lift to the front via Bilstein 5100’s
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus Год назад
Unless you go up to 2.5" and higher on the GM1500s, you wont need new UCAs

Both of my rancho quick lift shocks are leaking how do I solve this problem do I need to buy new ones? (Bought them about 4 years ago) from rancho
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus Год назад
Contact the company you bought it from and start the warranty process. Just note that it would have to be under manufaucter defect and due to nature of how long you've had it, they maybe put this under wear and tear.

What if your truck is leveled already before the ranchos ?
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus Год назад
Typically not recommended putting a leveling spacer on top of a leveling coilover/shock, usually quicklifts replace a puck spacer

I just want to know how to get a new set of struts that are 24" top to bottom
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 6 месяцев назад
It depends on application but if your required measurements are far outside of what anybody makes for the vehicle, custom coilovers can be made by brands like King

We are truly sorry to hear that. Rancho should be able to still warranty it as long as you have proof of purchase.

Great video , thanks. I had a question , I have a 2021 f150 and I ordered the set of rancho quicklift struts but the store sent me 2 of the same part numbers rs999957. It will take a few weeks to return amd recieve the other part number rs999958 for the other side, so i was wondering if i can just use the rs999957 for both sides left and right or done have to wait for the other side to get here? I am installing these myself , I've done them before on my 2016 f150 . Thanks
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 4 месяца назад
If you install a part, then you should plan on not being able to return that part or being refunded properly. If you purchased through us, that resolution shouldn't take weeks, but rather days. The only difference between the sides is going to be the spring, to account for driver side lean. If you install both of the same part number right now, the driver side will likely sit 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower than the passenger side.
