BEST VIDEO OUT THERE......Definitely have to get the plugnoff off of the racknfor better access to take the clip apart....thanks for the video....saved hundreds
I bought a new connector for the right tail light since my running tail light on the driver side is not working. The brake light and turn signal lights work just fine, only the running tail light is not working. After I replaced it just like this video said, I still have the same issue. It's nice to know how to do this and I am thankful to David Gil because thanks to his instructions I was able to replace the connector on my 2018 Chevy Silverado but the issue is still there. I also changed fuse number 29 (15A) but still no luck. I am taking it to the local Chevy Dealership tomorrow and see what they say and how much they will charge me. I wished I didn't have to take my truck to the dealership because you know they will charge an arm and a leg. Anyways thank you David again. Too bad it didn't work.
Same issue here. 2018 gmc sierra. Replaced the harness, and it's still not working. Wire brushed the ground as well. All fuses are fine. I really don't know what else to do.
Great video, helped a lot. I would only suggest cutting the old clips off. I did that with side cutters, sped up the install. Great video though. Thanks a lot.
I have this issue on both sides, one of the pins is corroded on each side and nobody sells a pigtail yet. I'm looking into replacing just the pin on the connector... hit me up future readers.
@@dimitrisoto8118 ended up being the drivers side tail light harness had a splice and was shorting out. Previous owner added a light bar under the tailgate and installed very poorly.
Unplug up by the harness. Clean it out as good as you can with electric connection cleaner. Then stick dielectric grease in the connector and pray lol.
@popvultureinc5007 it's only the bottom plug. Brake lights and signal still work, just not the bottom running light. Once my dad gets back from Florida, he can help me trouble shoot it. We work on our own stuff as he owns a trucking company and have all the tools to fix most of the issues. He never takes his stuff to a shop. If all else fails, I'll just pig tail it off one of the other running lights.
