The taillights on my 2000 outback stopped working and I found a partially hidden fuse that was the culprit. This may work on other subaru models as well.
There may be a taillight safety relay or even a separate fuse block for that. I don't know much about VW but was also able to dig this up for you www.volkswagenownersclub.com/threads/rear-running-lights-not-working.112145/
I have an 02 Subaru Outback. I’m not getting any taillights and the instrument cluster doesn’t light up anymore. I tried replacing all the fuses and bulbs. Sadly I don’t think it’s gonna be that easy.
Get under your steering column and make sure all your loom connections are plugged in properly. After that, you can start looking at stuff like fuses, relays, ground, ohms, etc.... A lot of people play footsie with their cars and unplug stuff by accident.
@@usstexasbb3555 it ended up being an aftermarket alarm that was put in before I got the car. The mechanic uninstalled it and rewired it to get it working hope this helps
@@admiller1997 Its becauae I added a switchback turn signal without the resister and it popped the turn singla and acc light for trailer and running and I replaced them and there nor working anymore
I have a 2006 chevy equinox I put different headlight bulbs in it and now I have no daytime running lights or a heater. I have checked all fuses and relays they r all good. What do I need to change now
I picked this out of the forums for you. It's a start Welcome to the forum. DRL is standard on the Equinox, all years. It could be that the previous owner disabled it for some reason. Check the DRL relay in the underhood fuse block. Also, the DRL resistor may have failed as documented in TSB #07-08-42-002. See thread chevroletforum.com/forum/equ...-lights-14651/. In either case, I'd think the selling dealership should fix the problem.
does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for it? The tail lights are not getting power. So I need to power from somewhere else it to get it to work. thanks
Have same.problem with my 2010 Chrysler Sebring ever since I changed the tail/brake bulb on left side, neither tail lights run now but brake lights, turn signals still work 🤦♀️😒 & I can't find any answers as to which fuse is for the tail lights anywhere
Oh that's terrible. Sometimes I have bulb issues with my supra. If I put the wrong bulb in the holder it causes some weird short or something. I hope you figure it out and I'm sorry I can't be much more help. I always consult the forums too
My chevy cruze 2012 has same problem, left tail light is not working but when I press brakes it works, indicator and reverse gear light works, tell the solution
I have a 94 dodge 2500. All the lights went out and we did replace the turn signal switch it work for a little then it went out. What could be the problem?
Im sure you tried the light bulb. Does the brake light work? My supra has a tail light failure box that I had to bypass. Im not sure about ford though. Message me through my instagram and we can maybe figure it out. Ill do some research tomorrow but it sounds like you have a short or broken wire. @suprachef is my insta.
Did the harness plug in to the fuse panel? Does the harness control both sides of the taillight system? I dont know much about the ford wiring systems but you can check using a test light too. If it were a bad ground you should still have light but it would be dimmer or something funny.
@@suprachefgarage9845 no the harness plugged in the same way. Driver side still working, just passenger side out. I'm going to swap out the driver side tail light and put it on the other side to see if that is the problem
I first checked to see if the bulbs were burnt, then I checked the fuse panel and all fuses related to the tail lights. After that I checked the relays and some other fuses. Thats what lead me to the small 20amp fuse. I used a test light to check continuity. Forums sometimes help point in the right direction as well.
@@IAMJKLFORLIFE its from the panel beside those 3 relays. There should only be 1 fuse there. I can screenshot it a d sent it to you through instagram if you would like
Alright can someone tell me this. Thought my passenger side running lights on the front and back was bad so when I changed them I decided to do all of them. I put them in driver side works passenger side brake turn and front turn signal works but the marker lights still does not.
Hmmmm... That's strange, sounds like you may have a short somewhere. If I put the wrong bulb in my supra it messes with the lights too.... Some things to consider
@@suprachefgarage9845 it was the same bulb I put on the driver side and they work fine but I did find another video where someone replaced the bulb socket itself and it fixed it so I might try that before I tear into the wires
@@hilham89 absolutely, anything before the wires lol. I had that happen with my supras taillight bulb sockets as well now that you mention that. I hope all goes well
