Sheesh , one of these days I'm going to open a new tab on my laptop and find a new BOB RU-vid video titled, " 2014-2020 Lexus GX460 entire Engine Assy: How to remove it." But OMG!! Those 2020 headlights are Gorgeous... Glad you are "eventually" upgrading!!!! Cannot wait to see this transformation!!!
It does fit Erik. I'm setting up shop for a step by step as we type. The headlamps are on route to me right now. I have ordered a second set also on route. Anyone in Southern California that buys my set, i'll come over and install for free. (=
@@GXBOB what? No, “If you can’t install this after I just showed you, you’re a freaken idiot?” 🤣 I wonder how close I am to you, My dad retired for aerospace and we are a 15 min drive from downtown LA.
Hey GXBob, Do you know what the OEM HID Bulb size and temperature is?? I want to buy a replacement set to have on standby when mine go out. I can't find it online anywhere for the low beam HID. I can find it for 2010-13 but that's it. I actually like the look of the older headlights fine. I may upgrade later on. As far as the color of my 2014 HID's I like alot. I was thinking about going with a more intense HID replacement.
Well, get AFTERMARKET headlights and not the Lexus OEM headlights from 2020-2023. The 2 plugs on the bottom of the OEM headlights attach to a required electronic module that mounts on the bottom of each headlight unit - they controls a power tilt of the LED lenses. This module interfaces with the wiring harness / plugs on the vehicle and are different than my 2015 Premium.
This is a great GX channel. Are you planning to install sports package spoilers on you GX. It would be an interesting video for a lot of people in GX community.
Hey Zeeshan! Welcome to the channel. I have such a huge list of things to do suggested by followers already. I'm slowly getting sponsors so if one of them throws a body kit my direction, i'd be happy to do a video on it. As far as buying it myself, it doesn't seem very probable at this point. But never say never because i said the same thing about not getting 2021 headlamps and i just got a new set......
Hi Buddy, Pleas I am set to buy the chichi-chon chon 2020 headlamps from China. Are the lights and high beams bright as stock? Also, is the DRL at least as bright as 2015 stock?
@@eketony Be careful, if you look at some of the comments below, you'll find a subscriber by the name of Xtian who is going through a rough refund process right now because of a bad headlight from china. So i would really make sure if you need a decoder or not. There are several makers on the market. Some are good and some show error messages. I'd contact the seller first to see if his lights have a history of returns due to error messages on your diagnostic screen. Mine did the same thing thats why i came out with my part 2 video where i had to ask the seller to ship me a decoder to make it work.
@@raulcabrera4040 Oh you mean you want a higher intensity bulb such as 8000k. Your current HID is at 6000K which is white. I"m not even sure if you can change out a Lexus OEM bulb that is interfaced with the ballast unit. Its not a simple bulb change like most cars. As u can see in the video, i attempted to remove the lowbeam and wasn't successful.
WGCA, the element of surprise is virtue. I prefer to wait it out a bit and show you my reviews and findings. Will i make fun of the Chinese, of course. Will i say "holy shitballs", most likely.
Yes i've done it. You have to pressure wash your engine from a distance because you risk getting water into your electrical components if you spray up close. After you clean your engine, i'd let the engine run as to dry the engine bay as quickly as possible.
@@GXBOB Thanks. Is it possible to have the electrical components covered with plastic bag before washing. I've seen this done for my old honda accord at the car wash
@@westlipha Yes its a good idea but its just more work. You can take a good visual inspection of where all your critical electrical components are and just try to steer away from blasting it with high water pressure. I would just take the time to wipe it down manually with a good cleaning solution and a rag. I know of one person that pressure steamed his engine in a Lexus SC400 and the engine ended up misfiring all the time. Could it be a result of the engine clean or was it just time for the sparkplugs to go out? We'll never know.
The video is already done. I just need to set aside some time to do some editing. Editing is probably the most hardest and time consuming out of the entire process of making videos. 2nd hardest is probably going back and re-editing because now we have female viewers i might offend. The 3rd hardest is going back again because now we have animal rights activists that wants me to treat Winston better in the videos.
@@doctorwgca I wouldn't lie to you man. I get hate mails from sensitive people. One person didn't like me calling viewers "friggin idiots" and another viewer wanted to report me because i yelled at my dog. Jesus Christ. Does it make me stop? Probably not. If anything, it just encourages me to do more penis pump videos.
