The last meeting between these teams to open the season. A close game nearly featuring a huge comeback by Cleveland, this one is most memorable for Antonio Brown kicking a helpless punter in the face at 43:39.
I was watching this game with my new girlfriend back in 2014, it was one of the best days of my life. Watching the greatest team on earth, with the love of my life while drinking beer 🤘🏿
38:38 that touchdown pass is vintage Roethlisberger. Ben in his prime, perfect execution under defensive duress. If I had to pick one play to sum up Ben Roethlisberger’s career, it might be that one. Todd Haley brought out the best in Ben. He allowed Ben to be Ben but with much better fundamentals and execution.
The Browns outscored the Steelers 24-3 in the second half and continued that onslaught in the rematch in Cleveland after the Browns won 38-10. Then, a season ending injury to Alex Mack in the second half of that second Steeler game and the season unraveled under Manziel.
michaeljackson2230- What do you mean by that, exactly?... I thought LeGarrette Blount did alright for himself when he was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, personally. The Le'Veon Bell, Sr./LeGarrette Blount tandem would be a great idea for my football team if I were to make one from scratch, in my opinion.
And now brown is off to the races! Hurdles! Kicks a man! Penalty, unnecessary roughness, kicking a defender in the head. I'm sorry but this shit was absolutely priceless
The clips of Ian Eagle saying "Le'Veon Bell, touchdown!..." around 46:11-46:14 & "What a run by Bell!..." around 46:15 were featured in the beginning of Le'Veon Bell's song 'The Juice Man' from his 'The Post-Interview' album, I believe... I just thought about it, now & I don't know why.
Man Leveon is such a unique running back.. honestly if he was with us last year we probably would have made the playoffs.. crazy to think at one point of the season we were like 8-5
Dan Fouts said it , nobody in the history of the league does/did it better than Ben when under pressure in the pocket to escape and throw the ball accurately on the move. Usually with defenders hanging off him.
This was the first game that Laveon Bell looked/played like a true superstar RB in the NFL. He dropped weight from 2013 and came out leaner and meaner and we all were just like "holy shit man, this guy is legit".
That 2013 and 2014 defense was atrocious. Had an old slow Polamalu, Keisel, had Jarvis bust Jones as a pass rusher, Ziggy Hood *BARF* who teams game planned to run on because he couldnt stop it. McClendon as a NT who got blown backwards repeatedly. It was bad times for our defense.
It's more complicated than that. He had really started to fall off by late season when other teams got film on him, faced better defenses and the oline had some big injuries. A lot of guys can be that guy for a half season and then just are a run of the mill backup the rest of their careers.
Aaah, the infamous game with the Antonio Brown kick on Spencer Lanning. I remember the NFL Network guys defended Brown. Trying to say he tried to jump over Lanning and failed.
because he did lol, look at his legs they separate initially in a hurdling motion, then right when his leg comes up all the way he keeps it straight because he knows he can’t get over
Looks like we are starting home this upcoming season and I’m excited for this season except no Big Ben and the killer bees :( man I missed them it was fun to watch when I was younger
ok hold up....I am a Steeler fan all the way...but...you have got to give props to the Browns left end #98...how is everybody just going to overlook the fact that he almost caught AB!!!! He started at 2:55......now look where he ended up? Wow, big guy hustle!!!
I was at this game, we were seated on the Browns side of field....all I remember is J. Manziel standing all by himself with no one within twenty feet of him.....
Bart, I notice your other channel Homer Simpson I know you have to links to some old games on that channel but they are not displayed. Is it possible to view those unlisted games even if it is not RU-vid. Thanks
This game was a perfect example of playing too conservative by Steelers (Tomlin) Never take the foot off the gas pedal! No matter how good you think your D is!
Steelers do that same stupid shit all the time. They get ahead then go to that 2 runs a pass and punt to try to take time off the clock instead of just playing like they do at the start.
Le'Veon Bell You incredible d********. Was On one of the best teams in the NFL and instead of focusing on winning games he has more intrested in getting paid you want to be the most paid player in the NFL. You want to get paid more than QB. I do the position of all running back and wide receiver it went out for 5 yd passes a may be converted a first down or 2.
Actually what a shame, these guy's were young and full of talent. Let it all go to their heads, could've been something really special if they would've focused on the team instead of individual success.
