Adam Hayward Yeah, I have no idea what these two are talking about? And I usually love ripping on UST videos.

Adam Hayward To begin with, video is too short in my opinion. I'm pretty sure there could have been more material as everyone was killing it, waves were awesome and it wasn't windy at all. Out of 37 competitors, video only shows 15 riders or so. Mostly exile's riders. Even though some mexicans (Gerardo Valencia and José Eduardo) beat some big names like Blair Conklin, Paddy Mack, Brandon Sears and Tyler Stanaland , they're not even shown once on the video. Not mention brazilians. Leandro, who was landing 540's and taking very good waves, only appears two times and Renato who was charging some of the longest and biggest barrels in the contest, only appears once. Despite making it further in the contest than some of the riders appearing many times in the video, Lucas Gomes, Marcos Casteluber and Mega don't even appear once in the video. Meanwhile Brandon Sears, Ken Suzuki (who didn't make it from round 2) and Blair Conklin (who didn't make it from round 3) appear many times. I'm just saying that since conditions were the best since 08, more material could have been obtained, showing an extense variety of riders in the contest's video and showing how many people from different countries are involved in the sport. After all, that's the only way the sport will grow and get the recognition it deserves.

for a normal MOV edit this was fine. it showed the big riders, it showed the best tricks and waves but there was no vibe. when there was a opportunity to capitalize on the song to make a sick edit, an awkward edit took its place. all of the shots couldve used better angles, color correcting and more variety. the intro has some cool shots of the waves but the gopro footage cheapens the quality a lot and right off the bat makes the edit seem ametuer. i like UST videos to be intense and suspenseful and the edits to compliment the song. i think thats what a contest video should be. something that almost exaggerates the actual event. this video, even though it was put together by one of the best skim editors out there was a miss in my opinion. cant wait for another scott z. stinnett edit. his edits are always on point!
