Some bs my car just started doing that today and I just changed my spark plug made sure everything was good on it and did this with the dip stick and bomb same thing as your car..I been putting new parts for this car and every time something new happens...can’t wait to trade my Cruze for a Civic I’m done with the Chevy Cruze
You can replace the front crankshaft seal from the front passenger tire well. Just need to put the motor on a jack and remove the motor mount, splash guard, belt etc to get to it. Has to be popped out and a new in pressed in
Replace your intake manifold. I know it sounds odd but theres a check valve in there that broke off...which runs inline with your diaphragm on your valve cover which caused your pcv on the valve cover to go bad. I just fixed my 2015 Cruze with the same issue.
I like the comments that advise to replace this, that, and what ever. I've got a 2012 and it now has 90 psi compression on the first cylinder with 160, 123, and 175 on the others. I had the head off before checking psi and the walls looked great, the pistons were not cracked and so on (i was loosing oil and coolant with oil in.......well EVERYTHING, you know what I mean) SO I replaced with a new head, bolts, intake man, turbo (exhaust had a crack, you know the one), valve/pcv cover, ignition coil, timing cover (broke valve cover bolt hole, you know the one), new gaskets, vacuum hoses, that tube that runs from the back intake man to the turbo (you know the one), spark plug, water hose plastic thing (you know the one).
Ok so I have a 2012 cruze and I have the exact opposite happing when I pull out the oil dip stick it starts to squil?? When I push the dip stick in it stops ?Would that be the same problem? And Iv already replaced the PCV valve...
I have the same squeak and it is driving me crazy. Took my 2014 1.4 Liter LT to a mechanic who charged me $720 to replace the timing belt and the water pump (they replaced the water pump without asking me...so that was a fun financial surprise) and didn’t fix the noise. Took the car to the dealer to diagnose the problem (which they charged me $80 for the inspection). The dealer gave me a laundry list of new fixes that the car needs that they quoted at $1,550 (not all related to the squeak). Two of the dealers recommendations were to replace the air intake and the valve cover. The dealer quoted these two repairs around $800+. I decided to buy the air intake ($162) and the valve cover ($60) on Amazon and replace them myself. Although I saved a lot of money doing the work myself, it didn’t fix the squeak. The only other ideas I have left to fix the issue are the crank shaft seal or the after market bypass kit. I have already put $1,000 into this problem and nothing is working. Because the engine needs to be unmount, the crank shaft seal repair looks like it is beyond my mechanical abilities. The after market bypass kit seems like extreme measures. The warranty on my car is 5 years or 100,000 miles. My car only has 67,000 miles but the warranty expired 8 months ago. I really liked my Cruz until this issue occurred. I would have bought another Cruz but this manufacturing defect has left a bad taste. I definitely will not look to Chevy for future cars.
One or both PCV valve's are bad now, you've replaced the regulator with the valve cover now check that the pcv system is in good shape.your crank case is loading up.
