JUNK 1.4L Turbo Chevy Cruze / Sonic Bad Engine Teardown. I Would AVOID these.

Today we've got the infamous 1.4L "LUV" Turbo engine found in the early Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic. This is a 138hp 4 cylinder that has earned a pretty bad reputation for frequent and pricey repairs. This is an engine of Daewoo decent, and is offered globally in several different cars we don't get in North America.
This particular engine is from a 2011 Cruze and has a questionable past. Lots of replacement parts were little help in keeping this engine alive. This is a core return from another salvage yard so I don't know mileage or details. We tear this thing all the way down to see what happened to this engine.
Why am I doing this? I own and run a full service auto salvage business called Importapart in the Saint Louis area. Part of our model includes dismantling blown and bad engines to salvage the good parts to resell. We do not rebuild engines, merely supply parts to those who do.
