I completely agree... I am relatively new to bikes, but when I first saw a video on the 2014 z1000, I was speechless. I would love a BMW s1000rr, or a MV Agusta Brutale 1090rr, or a Ducati 1199 Panigale S, and maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to own one of them, but first I need a z1000 in my life.

Even i couldn't believe that he actually said that... when i first saw the pictures of this bike online i was completely bowled over by its styling. Last month i saw this bike in flesh and boy what a machine...and that Japanese inline4 sounds sick too(had leo Vince pipes on it). Dream bike.

never trust reviews. Most don't talk about reliability nor what you use it for. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Like on forums about cars and bikes, there will always be haters. You show them a naked and they compare it to a track bike. You show them a Fender guitar and they compare it to les pauls. You buy both of them, they envy you even more and say things like, "I don't like expensive stuff, you don't NEED good stuff." You're riding for freedom. Fuck what people say! If a scooter can make you happy, so be it!

I really like how you include opinions by novice, intermediate, and expert riders. Alot of the people who would buy these bikes are people probably looking to move up from bikes with less power, and especially are not going to be professional riders. Keep up the good work.

DONT WATCH THIS REVIEW ,,, READ A MCN REVIEW OR BRITISH MADE REVIEW . THEY CONTRADICT THEMSELVES ON THIS REVIEW AND COMPARE TO RACEBIKES WHEN ITS A NAKED . THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BIKE

On looks alone this bike was way ahead of its time. Just look at the 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V4.

Have you guys even adjusted the suspension settings? This is one of the most planted bikes I’ve owned. Reason why it’s wobbly around corners is because judging by your size, the suspension is too soft SMH. Super flickable and easy to lean to the point where I’ve managed to scrape the bottom of the collector heat shielding. As for the choppy throttle, most bikes are like that due to crappy emissions. A good dyno tune can eliminate that no worries.

Hey! Sorry for reviving your 1 year old comment, but I'm looking at perhaps upgrading to this bike. What the video said on wobbly/unstable suspension and corner stability throws me off a little bit, same with the MT09. Do you have the stock suspension and just tuned it with correct sag? Are there rebound and or compression adjustments on the stock suspension aswell?

Alot of these "pro" reviews completely miss the mark and the point. The average person that buys any motorcycle just wants it to be reliable, look good, and make them smile when they twist the throttle and go fast in a straight line. The price to performance ratio is nuts on that bike. The average consumer is not tryna hit the track and race it for a living. It's a "street fighter". The Z1000 looks good as hell too BTW.

I have this bike the 2018 I’ve had R1s GSXR and a Blade this bike is so much fun to ride I had the suspension set up and it corners brill

@@jamesharris377 i think he meant its easy to ride buts its gets pretty unstable once you try to push it hard its a really good 80 percent bike its the last 20 percent that make it pretty hard to ride i use to own one and i agree them its a really good road bike very reliable one of the best inline 4 in low and mid range punch engine really responsive sounds goods the brake are good its only when you really lean on it you start having ground clearance issue i solve that issue by replacing the rear sets and akrapovic full exhaust that because i take it to the track but you will never get anywhere near the lean angle on day to day road use but even with a power commander map and quickshifter and hyperpro steering damper its no faster than a standard s1000r in fact i spend more money plus the bike on making the bike as fast as a s1000r then just buying the s1000r and its still slower and does not have the electronics to match the z1000 is good bike if you don't plan on upgrading just keep it stock and be happy with its excellent road manners but trying to make it faster and a better track bike your better off getting s1000r

Friend of mine has one with a full Akrapovic dual exit exhaust and mannnn does that bike sing! It almost sounds like a race car at some points, haha!

hopperstonemason i did on my z1000 '08, improves the handling slightly but still wobbly and you really gotta wrestle with the bars around corners.

Wtf. They said this bike is not good in corner compare to sportsbike. Well it's actually obvious that this bike is a street fighter or naked bike and the other bike was designed to be acccurate in corner. Just saying tho!

I got the z900 but almost wish I went with the 1000. My dealership has a brand new one 2016 for $8995. That can’t be beat.

plus it has the adjustment knob on the back , didn't hear them mention any setup... the slow mo with the back bouncing? wouldn't that be exactly what you get with maxed out preload setup for 2 people?

What's the difference in the cost between this bike and the others? I personally like bike with no gadgets and I then no if I make a mistake I'm at fault. I don't trust all these electronic aids, just more to go wrong.

These guys are "sport bike" riders and don't have any understanding of naked and street fighters. Guy gets surprises by punchy torque lifting bikes front and wants to review street fighters for us!! A bike that feels like R1 on the track is the best bike for them!!
