We've tried four 7/8-seater SUV and the Highlander is the most pleasant to drive (V6 engine). Everything seems to be adjusted right. Unlike you, we love the space between the two middle seats: with three children on board, it means we will not fight with the seats all day long. That's a big plus for us.

I'm going to guess and say this is where your BF works. Wow! First time actually getting to see a closeup of you on camera. I like the look of the interior and exterior. Rear reminds me of the refreshed Chevy Traverse.

Nope, it's so that don't slam shut. Luxury models do that same thing. It gives it a softer close.

Northeast Ohio is probably the worst place to test drive a car. All the roads are basically straight and flat, and the speed limits are pretty much all 25 or 35.

Thanks :) check out my other recent Toyota reviews! I tried improved after each one I did. I haven't uploaded any reviews for over month but this coming Monday, I will be filming new Cadillacs. The dealership is located in a less congested area near park settings & a freeway so I'm looking to add more test drive footage.

I bought a 4Runner new in 1997 and still drive it today with over 200,000 miles. Had no problems with it. Looking for a new car and not in love with the 2014 4Runner design. Looking at this car. As a photographer I would want to see the back with all seats facing down. Third row seats are a waste to me. What is 0-60 on this car.

Am I the only one who sees the Pathfinder when I look at the rear of this? At 14:27, the clear around the tail lights, looks so much like a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. Interesting

I've been waiting for you to review this car. Its great to see. I think 6 Cylinder is the only way to go with this car, especially with the weight gain. It would be great if Toyota used 4 cylinder direct injection and turbo engines of some other makers and stuck in more gears. But the Toyota 3.5 Liter in the Highlander is well proven. So if it aint broke...

My girlfriend's mom had a 2010 highlander base model with the god awful 2.7 engine, probably one of the most miserable cars I have ever been around! Really hoping the new one is an improvement

It is not unfortunately. Toyota is more interested in the sales pitch delivery than the actual Build, Design and innovative powertrain. They are stuck in the stone ages with this powertrain. When I pay this down I will never buy anything Toyota. Unlike Dodge, the commercial with Tom Brady speaking where as they kept going back to the design room and throwing out the 'Investor' over innovation ideas, Toyota needs to take some lessons from Dodge over their SUVs, CrossOvers and their Trucks.

Can you do a 2014 4Runner if you're still in OH? I saw one right at the end and actually just recently saw the new HL and refreshed 4Runner on the road today. Same color as this but it wasn't AWD. Just waiting till World Toyota gets the new HL in, I haven't seen it in person yet. I was hoping for a WOT run, the old V6 could move out of it's own way pretty well.

A WOT 0-60 would've been impossible as I would've exceeded the speed limit halfway through 1st gear, would've been 30 MPH over it + the dealership loved the free publicity so I can't risk treating their cars as a rental.

Is it me or did Toyota copy certain features, and looks of other companies? The rear lights and side look like a last gen cx9 the fold up tray old crv or Odyssey and the side also sorta looks like the new odyssey

This is car has an excellent reputation, and reseal value, but I can not understand why the interior trim are very poor, and limited overall in the design of seats (old style) and controls in the doors. It so ridiculous look at that lever pulled just for adjusting the wheel drive.

the problem i have with toyota is that they all look like crap unless you get the top of the line model. they need to design better looking wheels to put on their cars.
