While I wanted Argentina to win, I have a lot of respect for Germany, they played very well and 2014 will go down as one of the best world cup squads.

I remember how this was my first match with national teams which I watch. I'm from Germany so I was very proud and happy after this final and I will never forget it.

These 2 minute videos always give bad impressions of games, as much as I like to watch them. Going into the game, most people thought many brazilians would be cheering for germany in the final after what happened before, not wanting argentina to win it in their own backyard, making argentinian fans the minority in the stadium, yet, argentinians were clearly the majority instead., This game was weird. Germany lost all of its deadly potential it had displayed throughout the tournament and argentina was extremely cautious, just like germany. The game felt like a very nervous extremely high concentration stand off with chances equal across the board. And then it went into overtime, you could see how mentally and physically exhausting the game was with one glance, just watching it was hard, honestly. This was also when argentina started fouling badly. Really badly. If you don't believe it, look up how often Schweinsteiger alone got fouled, and the ref did nothing about it. (Literally getting punched in the face multiple times, making him bleed) Of course a WC final is some rough play, one german player got knocked out it didn't know where he was in the first few minutes, needing to be subbed because he was disoriented. But it stopped being pretty to watch around the last 20 minutes because of that. Aaaand the second half of overtime started, and all you wanted to see was someone score at that point, it was extreme. Minute 112 - Germany scores a beautiful goal, one very deserving of being the winning goal for any final. What a weird exhausting to watch game this was. Intense.
