After installing this on my 2020 Eco: 1. I had to take the positive battery cable off to make room for the braces to get on the passenger side bolts. I don't know how you did it here but there was no way the braces were going to slide in under that tight a space. Surprisingly, after reconnecting the battery cable, all my settings were still there like before. So in the end, No biggie. Watch the plastic clips. I dropped the bottom half of one of them from the battery cover and I can't find it now! It didn't hit the ground and I looked around that engine bay as best I could but no luck. 2. I don't know how you fit a socket wrench to get at that passenger side screw under the cowl. Mines was SUPER tight and I ended up using a wrench instead which was a PITA and took longer. 3. When installing the 4 new nuts, they will feel EXTREMELY tight like you are cross threading them. I was worried and called Ford Performance and the guy assured me that's the way its supposed to be with these special nuts. Overall simple install. The package was well packaged but I noticed a knick in the cross brace on mine. Not sure how that happened.
I just got a 2024 GT convertible with PP + Magnaride. I can visually see the strut tower, but does it also come with the strut tower/cowl extension brace?? I need a firmer ride, especially around sharp turns, can anyone tell me what mods I should be looking for?? First sports car, first V8, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been researching like crazy but still not sure what I actually need. Please help!
The Cowl Brace Extension Panel should really be included in this package. Ford Part no. FR3Z-63016A52-A And 3 bolts for its install. Ford Part no. W717964-S450B
is there any chance you can do a install video of the extension panel FR3Z-63016A52-A to reinforce firewall mounting point for cowl brace? A video of this is much needed and something you guys can sell
Keep in mind is going to be a pain in the ass to get to your spark plugs with the crowl brace on I saw it and was like nope not doing it in the street with it being cold as hell out lol
The only thing bad about this your going to have a hard time removing spark plugs with the crowl image if you do the spark plug change every 30k mines like I do it's going to be annoying as hell lol
because the engine/intake manifold sits so high up that the hood wouldn’t close. just get a steeda g track brace, kinda works the same but definitely not as well
Sorry to tell you that you’re wrong but I actually have a Mustang GT 15+ and it does not come with a strut tower brace from factory... if you’re going to try to be as professional as possible to try to get things correct
@@PchipZ91 correct, my base model '18 GT did not come with the cowl brace, just the plastic piece that comes out on the passenger side. I just installed these two parts about an hour ago. The difference is immediately noticeable.
