I'm no auto mechanic either and never really touch the things ( only have 30 years wrenching on Boeing's and Airbuses) but had to smile when I saw that pipe wrench being used. @@AGuyandHisProjectsWhen you tighten a bushing when the suspension is at full droop you set the neutral point there then when the vehicle goes to ride height the bushing twists and preloads with the truck just sitting still. You are suppose to tighten at ride height so there is no preload on the bushing and it only twists when the truck is going up and down the road. Some vehicles have ball joints vs bushings, those can be tightened at any position.

I'm about to do this on my 2 week old F150. I still don't know what I'm going to do on the back to support the pop-up camper though. The camper will never come off during a 2 year tour of north and south America, so I'm looking for a permanent solution to support the weight, along with the 5100 or 5160 shocks.
On my Nissan frontier I ordered a set of custom springs from Alcan. They can build extra weight into them. Airbags will save a few hundred bucks though
Say what kind of motor do you have in your new 150 ? I'm about to buy in the next 2 weeks a F-150 and I'm hearing bad things about the 5.0 with the rattling and high oil consumption problems and it sounds like there are some BS fixes Ford has come up with to say they have done something. After hearing about this I'm leaning towards the 2.7L ecoboost .
@@jetboy770371 I got the 3.5 with Max tow package, and I've heard about problems with it, too. They have cam phaser issues, just like my old 5.4 did. Pretty happy with the performance from the turbo, though!
Did the owner have an IWE issues after this install? When the CV axle is removed, doesn't the IWE lose vacuum? Correct me if I am wrong, I may not fully understand the system.
I Have a 2020 F150 as well. I am looking to level and put 33’s on. I have been going back and forth with the type of leveling kit i want to install. Can you notice a significant difference in on road ride quality between the stock suspension and the new set up. Is the ride quality on road stiffer? Thanks
The short answer is yes there is a significant difference from stock suspension. Much stiffer than stock because you use the same stock spring but put more preload on it when you level the truck. My long answer is actually my next video on my personal RU-vid channel. I'm still editing that one so it won't be out for atleast 1-2 more weeks. If you don't mind waiting that long to level your truck, I'll probably cover most of what you're wondering about. Both on road and offroad. 👍

I just couldn't decide if i wanted to document it all or not. Current job has me working about 12 hours a day so I decided to not do the youtube thing. However, i am looking forward to your next video and will be interested to see your response. Basically, overlanding is a 1 or maybe 2x's per month thing for me, otherwise it is my daily. @@AGuyandHisProjects Yes, I am going with Bilstein 6612 up front and 5160's in the rear. I purchased SPC adjustable Upper control arms and and putting on raptor wheels with 35's. I will have it completed after the first of the year and try to post some pictures. I suggest Jordan joining F-series overland group on FB if he doesn't already join. Ill add pictures there
