It seems from the video that the bracket for the speaker does, in fact, fit. Yet Amazon claims that it doesn't fit my 2017 F150. Not sure why that would be when you installed it without any issues😅 Very detailed video, thanks for sharing how it's done. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks I can replace the rear speakers and hopefully see why my rear passenger speaker doesn't work.
Crutchfield says those speakers don’t fit in the rear door of my 2018 F-150. They say the top mounting depth is larger than allowed. Do they rub on the factory grilles?
Need help! I changed all 5 speakers (including the center channel) but I do have the Sony factory amp. You mention training the amp? How does this work? My bass has certainly changed. Thanks in advance
Just curious...I was shopping for speakers for my 2017 XLT SuperCab and saw that the Alpine S-65's won't fit in the rear doors due to the speakers have a taller mounting height. Are the SuperCrew and SuperCab mounting heights different?
so can you put the speaker right into the door without the round bracket around it? the factory speaker did not have it so was curious, if its because the speaker wouldn't fit without it? thanks
@@billyhenley6968 I just changed my front and back door speakers in my 2018 F-150 XLT. I bought JBL GTO 939 6x9 and 6.5. I used kilmat on the outer and inner skin of the doors. I also bought NVX speaker rings for all four speakers. I don't have an amp just the factory head unit and I can barely tell the difference between the factory speakers and my new speakers. You definitely need an amp
Excuse my audio noobness but I noticed you added coaxial soeakers in the rear and component in the front, whats the difference from either and your reasoning for this? I have your listed parts in my wish list and planning on installing front and rear speakers
Everything we used will fit your truck. Factory uses components up front and since the acoustics of the truck work well with components, I’d recommend going that route. If you simply just add coaxials in the doors up front, you are still using the factory tweeters up in the dash.
