2015 Ford Edge | an average guy's review

I bought a used 2016 with the 3.5 6. It has 120k and for an 8 year old car, it runs and drives like a new car. The design of it still feels fresh and I actually like the front and rear styling better than the newer Edges. I drove a new one and I am not a fan of the rotary dial transmission selector and the larger vertical touch screen. It seems like a waste of space and looks like an afterthought. It drove nicely though. I’ve only had my Edge for 4 months now and hope it proves to be as reliable and long lasting as my previous Fords.

Got this a few months ago from Avis and loved it. So far the experience has been stuck on me. Really thinking about getting one sometime next year.

Just bought myself a used 2015 with only 15K miles. After reading the reviews here, I opted to spend a little extra per month and purchased a 7 year/100K mile bumper to bumper warranty. I watched a ton of average guy reviews before settling on this car and even though Im not in the market for a car anymore, I will definitely keep watching your reviews just for the entertainment value. They are fantastic Tony. Oh, did I tell you I also hate minivans :).

Give it up to the Average Guy! Definitely my favorite car reviewer on RU-vid. Also, I'm assuming that the Edge has to be turned on to utilize the automatic tailgate lift. Otherwise, any schmuck that walks by can just wave his foot under the car and break in. lol

I love mine!! I bought the impact blue 2015 Edge Sel I bought it used. The previous owner has scratched it and dented it a little but otherwise its nice! Love the 3.5 AWD I get 26 MPG without the Air on and 22 with on the highway. Thanks for your Awesome video!

I'll have to be honest with you. I don't like the exterior. The old front grill had a statement, this one just looks plain boring. Great review!

The 2011 Edge was our first rental car in the states, so this year we were keen on trying the 2015, unfortunately the rental place just had a Pathfinder. I actually prefered the 2011+ Front End, but the rear end of the 2015 looks gorgeous. It was a great review of what appears to be a great car, thanks for doing that man, and when the Edge arrives in Germany next year I'll be the first one to test drive it ;)

I have one, I love the blindspots at the windshield pillars, I love the seat shape that cuts off circulation to legs on a long trip. I love how the door bottoms wrap around underneath and catch all sorts of road dirt and salt! (potential rot issue here). I love how you have to slam the back liftgate to keep from lighting up the door ajar icon.. and when slamming said door you pop the eardrums of anyone in the car... I'm especially happy with all the negative reviews and comments about the longevity of the 4Cyl EcoBoost engine and carbon on valves issue, they give me comfort.. I love how my 6 cyl Chrysler T&C van with 160k miles on clock gets better highway mileage than a new 4 Cyl Eco Boost. Now there is a regular guys honest review.. and I have been a long time Ford fan.. sadly after that last few, I'm looking for a new brand. I had a Ford Expedition that had defective head designs, it would blow out spark plugs! Pop, right out of the head! My 2005 FX4 sounded like a Diesel at 44k miles. Something about lifter padders?? WTH? My 1995 F250 started using a quart of oil every 600 miles once it hit 40k on the clock.. BTW Ford at two dealerships said there was nothing wrong with it..

The Edge has one potential deadly flaw, that is an internal water pump; if that pump fails without warning (and it has happened more often than not) your engine will be totaled because the fluid from the engine coolant system will infiltrate into the engine block, mix with oil and reduce lubrication. Buyer be ware!

Should have showed interior fit issues. Almost $40,000, shouldn't have any issues, no manufacturer should have issues at that price point.

If you could do a review on a police taurus interceptor that would be great!! Looking to buy one possibly

Great review, but you are killing me when you are washing that car with the brush at the drive in car wash. Fast way to destroy the paint with scratches and swirl marks.

After 10 months of using the new FORD EDGE I’ve got a lot of problems with it such as strange sound comes from the engine, computer problems, fuel gage getting stuck some time.. etc. it was the worst choice I ever made in 2017..!!
