because driver side is a bit further away from the compressor/blower so it would get warm first.

So there is something that's hard to explain, if it went to red zone, it means the clutch have not kicked in, it could be that your refrigerant level was too low that clutch doesn't automatically start to protect the compressor. Assume you connected the recharging kit and coupler properly. In that instance you'll need to use a jumper cable to manually kickstart the AC clutch for the system to suck the refrigerant into the loop. Refer to this video for proper service: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pdq8JAlct6s.htmlsi=JrOioVRc4w4ojO1D and also, using Manifold gauge and a vacuum pump to completely vacuum the system and recharge to correct level maybe necessary. You'll also need to jump start the AC clutch relay, it might require some additional DIY as shown in that video.

@@TheGizmoGarage Hi Li, thanks for your response. God gave me the answer that I was looking for. I am a prophetic Christian meaning that God gives me dreams to give me answers about many things. God gave me a dream and in my dream I saw my car lifted up at an auto repair shop. So I didn’t use the refrigerant and I returned it for a refund. I thanked God for the dream and got my $60 back. I could tell the pressure was all the way high when I put the gauge on it. I took my car to a shop yesterday and what happened is that mice chewed through the air conditioning wires so I had to have it rewired and now the air conditioning works fine. It did not need any refrigerant. In this case it was chew happy mice that caused the problem. 🐭🐭

if your car is blowing hot/warm air, quite likely the refrigerant is low, after all the car's ac has been running for 6/7 years and will need a recharge. Bring car to a reputable mechanic, or car dealer they can do the refrigerant recharge for you, or you can try to do it yourself if you feel confident.

@@TheGizmoGarage Sadly this isn’t the first time I’ve had to recharge it, I’ve been recharging it every summer for the last 4 years. I’ve actually already used this video twice as a refresher course before I recharge my a/c.😅😂

It is an issue with the 2015 models smfh I have to do the same thing every summer , mad ass hell they didn't make it into a recall

@@TheGizmoGarage so i got the manifold knob turning confused and had the high pressure side open while the low pressure closed for about 30minutes. Ac seems to still work, did i damage anything?

@@winkawak you are fine, just put cap back on the valve is not activated till something is plugged in

Could be low on refrigerant! Would be first thing to try before taking to mechanic.

@@TheGizmoGarage yes I’m not sure. When I turn on the ac it starts to make a noise under the hood like a loud fan. I will have to get it checked out

@@Plump_Nick not sure if you got it fixed yet but mine is having the same issue and we found it to be the ac compressor which needs to be completely replaced

@@Plump_Nick I just bought my parts today for about $230 on rockauto.com. Labor to get the part put in is a whole other story

Yes, you just need to make sure to go to the auto parts store and ask them to provide you with the correct refrigerant with the proper connector, if your issue is low refrigerant and not other bigger issues.

It should fit by default, make sure you are trying to charge through the low-pressure port NOT the high pressure port, which has a different connection I believe.

Same here. Were you able to figure out the issue? Praying my compressor didn't take a shit

@@yustinlee so they refilled my system and at the end of the day it was a electrical issue . There was a wire that got ripped and the compressor had no power . I would suggest to have a place check if the compressor gets power . And go from there. They replaced the wiring harness for the compressor wich cost me 80 bucks + labor

Did not realize EU models used R1234YF, yes viewers, please do check your cars label to ensure you are using the correct refrigerant.

@@TheGizmoGarage The US will follow the EU, the EPA announced in 2016 plans to ban R134a by 2024.

It's a quick refill, not a complete AC recharge...
