2015 Hyundai Elantra 1.8L Exhaust Cam Phaser Issues

Saw this quite a few times using scantool data. If you look at KOEO data on the camshaft phazer it reads -+142 degrees. Phazers were damaged, also has long term oil problems.

I think the reason it was not actuating even though the desired was changing is that once there is a code set it stops reporting correctly.

Will replacing the cam phaser only help the issue
