Sound stops at 3 minutes and doesn’t start again until 5 minutes. But thanks for the video. I bought a used 2014 and the manual linkage was missing so I now know what I’m looking for. Much appreciated
Hi guys. Recently had some little tealeave break into my van rear door wrecking the handle and barrell. When we repaired the door and fitted new parts I can confirm that the ball on the back of the lock cylinder needs to be in the 3 o clock position not 9 on clock as shown on this clip. Hope this helps
Thanks for sharing, Ryan, I need to swap out my own rest door handle lock cylinder part due to someone snapping a screwdriver in the lock in a failed attempt to break into my van. Currently I'm relying on the opposite to you, the central locking as I'm unable to use my key for the rear door. Anyhow, thanks again for taking to the time to document this process, it's appreciated.
Thank you for this! I have the same lock issue (key just spinning and useless), but also complete lack of use of inside door handle. Outside handle and remote works fine. Your video definitely helped me figure out how things were supposed to work! Complete lock had "exploded", so I figured out how the insides go together, as well as finding the connecting rod at the bottom, inside the door. Key still locks up, but more importantly, still no use of inside door handle. I can feel the cables moving, but not sure how they may connect inside of the plastic housing at the latch. Any insight?
Ryan; Is there some kind of retainer clip to hold the black plastic socket part of the ball and socket joint together? Mine just falls out and doesn't seem to hold together.
Hi Mark, That black plastic socket is all one piece, including the ball socket, the part that rides over the arm of the ball, and a snap clip that puts tension onto the back of the ball, holding it in place. If you don't have that snap clip, I would guess its broken. Hope this helps! Sorry for the poor quality video.
