I have the same model that I got off of eBay today and it works and it is slow. I tried to format with a micro SD as internal storage, but I get errors because of the SanDisk Ultra micro SD card which was slow, but it needs a faster Micro SD card like the Extreme and Extreme Pro which runs a lot faster than the Ultra. Mine is a few years old, but needs more improvement. The RCA Voyager had 16GB storage, but mine is over 10GB which was 6GB off of 16GB, but it needs a faster one where you can get a SanDisk Extreme or SanDisk Extreme Pro for faster improvement to get the job done.
Tony, at CES, RCA is rolling out two new 2 in 1's (one Android 12.5" and the other Windows 13.3"), but I prefer a smaller screen size. Does RCA or other OEM have a 32 GB tablet with a screen less than 10", decent battery life running Marshmallow? I held off on an 8 inch Nvidia Shield thinking Nvidia may be coming out with a next gen. tablet later this year. (original device dates back to 2013 or 2014 with stylus and then w/o stylus)
I'm not an RCA expert - I bought this tablet because of the incredibly cheap price while still promising good features. I'm not yet aware of RCA's nicer higher-end models nor whether they compare to Nvidia Shield (which is pretty nice). I'd love to review it, though, if I got one.
I am considering getting the keyboard model and the issue with the 128 sd card got me thinking, on some of my other devices i have taken the sd card and partitioned it out before installing it and they just thought it was multiple cards. I wonder if it would work on this as well. Just a thought.
I tried this and it didn't work :-( Also, it's worth noting that some of the keys have stopped working on the keyboard model. :-( ...we've stopped using the keyboard and now instead use the on-screen keyboard.
Hello,Tony Olsen(like your name by the way) Just got my Voyager RCT6873W42 Blue a few days ago I had a Voyager 2 had it about a year it just froze up and than blue lines starting going across it so I bought The Voyager RCT6873W42 Blue never had a colored outside Tablet really like the blue color. Now Tony here is my question on The Voyager RCT6873W42 Blue Tablet when I upload a video The Tablet turns up the Volume than I need to turn it back down again I make the volume go all the way down and it has that little line Thur the Bell now tony how can I make the tablet stay set to total quiet untill after a video loads? Any help you can give would be appreciated!!! Oh by the way I ordered my Voyager RCT6873W42 Blue from Jet.com the purple box people.Thanks Tony for taking the time to find me an answer that's just so cool!!!
