Good video, sad what vehicle manufactures are doing nowadays. There’s no reason a battery should be that hard. GM just wants some kickback on a battery replacement job, which is probably a 300+ job at a dealer. Ridiculous.
I was quoted $450 today for a new battery on my 2018 malibu at the dealership. Yea I left and made some calls and got a brand new battery for $150! Pays to have friends at part stores.

Its such a kick in the balls to go from your typical 2 Post Battery setting to how batteries are in a Chevy Malibu. 😡 Lol I went from a 2010 Nissan Altima to a 2018 Malibu and the battery situation is just ridiculous
Watch another vid,but find some difficult for remove +part,then I ask my self that there are other videos that may be better,..and yes found your and it was straight forward,..for example no need to remove side minus connector it's allready attached and you can pull it with the terminal.. jimmymarquez108 sorry i was so late hopefully you was able to fix this issue , I’ve seen a few of these cars the nut comes out to far and breaks . Usually I would try to rig it up or I would slide a flat head into it to hold the stud still and keep trying to tighten it . If not I’ve had instances I have to replace the whole terminal assembly . Hopefully this helps if you haven’t fixed it already bud !
@@reneantonio91 I felt dumb after my mom said "you can't just pull up on the nut with pliers and turn it?" you know what? She was right. Was able to get it tightened up again with a socket
THIS Video is the correct way to change out the battery however!! while changing any model over 2016 it must be hooked to a battery saver which means there must be power running to the car at all times while disconnecting the battery if not you will get an error code CAL and your check engine light will come on
Ruben Villa yes , you need a H6 AGM battery , make sure it’s a AGM battery , if not alotta electrical issues can happen and things not working right and batteries prematurely needing replacement

Hey bro I know this an old video, but my battery just died a week ago. It died all of a sudden while driving out of nowhere. Charged it and the next day it did it again. Now I’m trying to figure out is it the alternator or just a bad battery
You need the correct H6- AGM battery for this car , I’ve seen regular batteries that are not AGM burn or prematurely die or cause other electrical issues because it’s not the correct battery
How didn’t I show it ? Watch the video again . I showed myself pulling up on the tabs that hold it down, then I said wiggle the terminal off after that . The same way you would wiggle and pull up On any other terminal .
