Iv just done this job on a 2015 Type R and you don’t have to take the front end off like this, top plastic and top Slam panel off and you can access all the fittings

Really? What you mean slam panel off? How long did it take for you to install the radiator without taking the bumper off

Took me 20mins, (extra time after to bleed coolant through. by slam panel I mean where the bonnet latch fits, it unbolts and you can move it out the way, you don’t need to unhook the latch cable, this way the radiator just lifted straight up. Definitely didn’t need to take bumper off.

Very useful video - except - I was looking to see the "Beam Bumper Center" attachments. At marker 2:57 and 6:22 it is clearly attached and one second later as the bumper is lifted off it is GONE! Same on reassemble - it is missing just before the bumper is put on (18:27), but magically there just as the bumper is put back on (18:57)! Also, the removal and re-installation of the cover that the hood release goes through is not shown - only even seen for an instant at 6:24 - just laying there.

Why was the new aftermarket replacement radiator have a thinner core? That must be for a 2L NA not for the turbo 1.5t 😮
