That's not actually a tranmission flush. It's only flushing what's in the pan/lower casing. Still a good bit in valve body & torque converter. It's more like an exotic drop n drain.
What happened to taking out the straw after you take out the drain plug for a full drain? Also, I would also check the level by warming up the trans to 113F and undo plug to see how it drips. If it continually drips them it's 2 much.
How did you watch the video there is no dipstick seal transmission even the dealership he doesn't change the fluid anymore salt better just changing the fluid drain and fill because there is no affirmation about the filter just to change the fluid and the time every 60000 miles the car be fine thank you for watching my video don't forget like share and subscribe to the channel to keep see more
@LessExpensivefix There is another pipe where the drain plug is that can be removed for a full drain of the pan and is also used to measure level at the correct temperature. But you pumped the fluid so it probably doesn't matter. There is a toyota procedure for this. The dealers just refuse to service because of the warranty policy.
Interesting video. However, for those watching this, you need to catch every drop of tranny oil that comes out, measure the amount you removed, and replace exactly the amount you took out…. Period. No guessing here. BTW, this is not really a flush it’s sort of a refreshing of the worn out oil with a few quarts of new. It’s a bandaid. A real flush requires changing ALL the oil, which is not what just happened, and the filter too. Thanks for the video.
measure it by weight or by volume, I'm guessing volume. I seen some mechanic on YT say never mess with the transmission fluid as more can go wrong with the flush/change than can be benefitted.
@@ldlink3935 tranny oil has a life span of about 30, 000 miles or two years whichever comes first. Oil actually wears out even if you are using the best stuff on the market. If the oil has been replaced at regular intervals, having a full flush and filter change is a great idea. If the vehicle owner has been remiss on the maintenance schedule, than refreshing the oil and changing the filter is about as good as it gets. When a car maker says the oil in the tranny lasts a lifetime they are speaking to the lifetime of a tranny that is headed for failure around 100K miles.
This is not the correct way, you must remove the plastic straw to drain the transmission completely also remove the transmission fluid cooler outlet hose and run the car while adding fluid to make sure all old fluid drains out then refill transmission with fluid and run car until transmission reaches 103-110 degrees then remove drain plug and let fluid run out until it starts dripping then you’re done with correct fluid amount.
Maybe you don't understand what I try to tell people about it my channel called less expensive fix all the process you've been talking about nobody can do it at home by herself you need to take it to the shop to do all this process so my job I show people how to do it cheap way cause I'm just the fluid and you do the job by yourself but the way how you told me I know all that but my channel is just to show people how we can do it we don't problem even dealership he doesn't change the fluid from 2016 and up
If I make the video complicates to people how to change the fluid nobody got to watch my video because it's really difficult and then what's he need to take it to a shop charge of between $300 to $600 if you want to change transmission filter fluid for CVT you have to buy the fluid from the dealership fluid cost between five quarts is $160 for CVT fluid maybe are you working for dealership but do you know from 2016 CVT transmission fluid dealership doesn't service transmission anymore or you are mechanic and you see I make you lose money because people been see how I change fluid just to put two quarts of transmission fluid or three quarts and you guys charging almost three to four hundred dollars and now you get mad because our easy job of course I'm called all this company they get mad because most people they show the game you buy the fluid from AutoZone cheap CVT and the charge people crazy money doesn't give no sense and my shop I charge $300 actually is not my shop but $300 for transmission service with dealer fluid not aftermarket fluid
You shouldn’t be working on the public’s vehicles. This is absolutely ridiculous for a professional shop to do this type of thing. You didn’t do anything correct. How pathetic.
The dealers will tell you they changed the oil but realy they don,t i bought a 2012 sienna and oil never changed it was so dirty not red black oil like engine oil😪😔🤢🤮
This channel should be called MOST EXPENSIVE FIX. Every transmission i've blown in a toyota its been due to a FLUSH. NEVER FLUSH your transmission fluid, always drain and fill. bit of the old and new and good to go. dont trust my word, ask a mechanic such as car care nut channel
Thank you sir for saying that but the thing you don't know transmission fluid for Toyota cost for 5 quarts $160 CVT fluid from the dealership if we got a flash all the way I have to buy 15 quarts so how much you got to be costing and even you want to change your transmission fluid at the dealership from 2016 and up dealership doesn't change transmission fluid anymore you have to wait until you blow your transmission and buy another one cause you between 5,000 to $10,000
To buy 15 quarts cost you $480 just transmission fluid no service Plus using the machine to flash the transmission leverage hours between $120 an hour and up the technical I use this is the same technique dealership they do or other place they do you think I have to show you the difficult way okay open the the oil pan change the filter and all that so how much money got to be cost you more if you know more about cars it's supposed to be not say that et sinon lac macaron président watch my vidéo stairway from my channel
