Hello everyone! Today's video will be about the UK-spec 2016 BMW 118i five door hatchback with the 1.5 litre B38B15 turbocharged petrol engine producing 134hp/136PS paired to a 6-speed manual in the Sport Line trim.
Below is the list of current 1-Series five door hatchback variants available in the UK as of 29th September 2016. I arranged it from the cheapest to the most expensive.

Very nice car, the white one is definitely nicer something about silver makes the car look older and more run down? Might just be me but white or dark colours make the car look cleaner.

Rich kid with daddy’s money when I was young I had to pay for my lessons myself and my car which was a Clio. Probably something youve never heard of yourself.

@@tomhoward33 Wouldn't let it bother you Tom. I too paid my own way and up until recently, had a beauty of a Clio that blew up on me. After just 2 years of work i'm able to buy me a nice lovely BMW at the ripe old age of 20 which was an impulse buy. Money management, determination and making the right life choices, gives you these luxury things without the bitterness.

IS this model slower than the previous version? From my understanding the previous version was 170 BHP

Yes, the pre-LCI 118i has 170 PS while the post-LCI 118i has 136 PS. However, post-LCI petrol models below the 125i had the 'numbers shifted', so effectively; 114i (pre-LCI) became 116i (post-LCI) 116i (pre-LCI) became 118i (post-LCI) 118i (pre-LCI) became 120i (post-LCI)

Is the privacy glass an optional extra? I'm looking at a 2017 118i Sport and it doesn't have the privacy glass...

Sorry this is probably way too late but yes it wasn’t standard but it was an option - we used to have a 19 plate one of these and remember it being an option (edit: grammar)

Daniel Anderson I actually quite like it. Shifts smoothly IMO. Although BMW's ZF automatics have better fuel consumption and emissions.

Dronum Yes as a matter a fact the auto startstop disable button probably would have saved me from getting t bone by an Alfa Romeo that blew through a red light.

The seat doesn’t go that high, so you’ve probably got it as high as you can. You can adjust the seat base angle though which brings it further from the floor
