During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RU-vid!

Wow, I didn't knew that Buick is the US brand of Opel. I like the designs that Opel is delivering, the Cascada looks sexy AF.

+Skytoucher Saturn was actually the US Opel before. In fact, because of Saturn's death (RIP), they were going to make what people call a ''Vue-ick'', (that is, a Buick version of an Opel Antara, also known as Saturn Vue).

Such as every Opel/Buick in the last five years, the Cascada has to fight with its weight, when it is compared to its competitors (3-series convertible, A4/A5 convertible...). I can only speak for germany, where a lot of drivers prefer to buy it with the 2.0 CDTI (so a Diesel) with 195 hp and a 6-Speed manual. With 400 Nn of torque, it makes a lot of fun, it really goes forward at low rpms. The new Opel Astra just released (don't know what is the Buick equivalent) really does big steps forward, especially in the infotainment system used, its conectivity, weight and engine specs.
@joaparviainen9098
@joaparviainen9098 8 лет назад
Buick doesn't have equivalent for Astra, because hatchbacks aren't that popular in USA. But I totally agree, the new Opel Astra is big step up in quality.
@Nagstrr23
@Nagstrr23 8 лет назад
+Joa Parviainen An Astra sedan would not look great, i guess. The new Astra Station Wagon and the facelifted Insignia Station Wagon look great, though. And what makes Opel and Vauxhall a serious and successfull competitor on the european market is the price-quality ratio and stability of their value. My first car ever was a 2000 Opel Corsa B. Not very eye-catching, rather ugly, but it did a great job and was so practically in the city.
@joaparviainen9098
@joaparviainen9098 8 лет назад
+Nagstrr23 I think Buick is planning to bring Opel Insignia Country Tourer to USA market. Not sure though. But yeah, the quality of Opels has increased. I drive currently 2008 Vectra C. Great car and reliable too!
@joansaldana3002
@joansaldana3002 8 лет назад
+Nagstrr23 The Astra here is the Verano sedan, and Insignia is the Regal sedan. Mokka is the Encore. They might bring over the Adam. I would like for them to bring over the Corsa and Karl. And in return, they should give Europe an Opel LaCrosse and an Opel Enclave.
@Nagstrr23
@Nagstrr23 8 лет назад
Joan Saldana And not to mention that they might fullfil a lot of wishes when they release the OPC/VXR version of the Astra and Insignia on the North American market. And a new and better Opel GT will also be released in the next three years.

for people saying that they want it with v8 rwd you will never see that cuz this is a European car Opel astra and that brand is not known in the USA so they give it the logo of a Buick or a cheavy they did this in older generation
@AgentAndroid
@AgentAndroid 8 лет назад
No, Opel use to be known in America until the 70s but their "safety and emissions" laws don't allow Opel and others like Škoda, Peugeot, Citröen, etc. from selling in the US. Of course these laws are BS because all these cars are very safe and good with emission. It's just an excuse for GM (partly owned by the gov) and Ford to sell their shitty overpriced cars. If those European cars were allowed on US soil, NO ONE would even look at GM or Ford and they'd be out of business. Sad but true.

Nice car, I like it. I think Buick is being realistic about what this car will do. They've said they don't expect to sell huge numbers of this, but they do expect it to turn some heads and entice younger buyers. The Buick VP has said they only plan on selling this for a few years and that possibly when it's time to discontinue it they will build a production Avista to replace it. I'm please with Buick, they knew they needed to change up their image and show people that they're not just an old folks brand. They are coming up with some exciting new models.

I don't really understand what they did with the ambient lighting. All new Buicks are using red now and all new GMCs are using the aqua blue interior lighting.

Mercedes Benz has been using 'seatbelt arms' since the 1980's. Check out a W126 (or perhaps C126?) coupe.

To everybody wondering about why Opel and Buicks are the same car: The brand Opel is the European version made in Germany, where the car is built. It has since the 70'ies been rebadged as "Buick" in America and is also known as "Holden" in Australia - but it is basically an Opel.

*How reliable has this car been so far, especially the roof?*

The car is a Buick Reatta for 2016. Buick has (had) the chance to create a boulevard cruiser that can also have sports car characteristics. Instead they go with a small engine & FWD with heavy steel AND rely on their parts/chassis bin for the car (like the Reatta). While I don't doubt it will be a reliable car, full of technology and a great ride (like the Reatta), it's demise is forthcoming. Why? Because Buick doesn't know how to market the car properly.
