musixmadness my man the G8 is not even in the same league as this thing and I love that car and Pontiacs in general. The Chevy SS is a better comparison because its basically the exact same car but better
+Jared Moore and yet in Australia, it is and has always been a Holden Commodore with now gap in production, just a outside refresh in bumpers and interior. It's the same car, it's not a new car. You can still freely swap bumpers and interior and everything else around. This is like telling me the 2005 and 2014 mustangs are totally different cars, when really it's the same car with new bumpers and a little sheetmetal. During that time, brakes got better, engine got better, transmission got better, suspension got a lot better, and interior well. it was still cheap. I had an '06 and a '13. In this case, the sheetmetal really didn't even change. the only thing that's actually new is the interior and bumpers. is the VF car better than the VE car? absolutely. but it's not a whole new car, it's still the same old one, just better. :-) Wikipedia has a few notes too: The VF Commodore is built on an altered version of the Holden designed GM Zeta platform, which was first used in the VE Commodore. The VF is an evolution of the VE, with several visual changes. The VF features new styling at the front and rear, with a more modern, sculpted appearance replacing the simplicity of the VE's design. Changes include altered headlights and tail lamps, alterations to the plastic of the intake and grille and the use of a lip-spoiler instead of a rear wing on the performance models. The bodyshell, windows, doors, mirrors and roof were all carried over from the VE and the wagon and utility variants use the same tail lamps as the VE models. The wheelbase and track also remain unchanged. The interior has also undergone major changes, with switches such as the boot lid release being relocated from the glove box to the doors and the fitting of an electronic handbrake. All models are fitted with an eight-inch touch screen in the centre console, with keyless entry and auto-park assist also being standard across all models. Other features include a head-up display on the windscreen, forward and rear collision warning systems, blind spot monitors and a lane departure warning system, however these are not standard on all models. The VF uses an electric power steering system, rather than the hydraulic system used on previous Commodores, which is slightly more fuel-economical at the cost of steering feel.
Nice Job! Glad it was more than "one lap". Nice and short and to the point, but saying "basically" FOUR times is four times too many. Maybe, basically, a pet peeve, but basically avoid the usage, please.
NickLiang And... what bad things should they have discussed, exactly? I understood what you said, but you missed my point entirely. My point was that you seem to be overlooking the possibility that they didn't feel that there was anything bad to talk about. You're assuming that there were bad things that they just chose not to talk about. Were there? Are you sure?
+Vernon Price No you're the one failing to understand what I said. Your point was that I don't like this car and I'm biased for that reason. You literally said "So you're saying you don't like this car and you think they should make bad shit up about it just to satisfy your bias?" I'm not acknowledging what you said because it is completely irrelevant. I love this car, but that doesn't make this a good review at all. My point is that a review should consist of both good and bad points of a car which this review failed to do. I don't know what the bad points are which is why I watch reviews to get an overview of how this car drives...... and I do not believe this car is absolutely perfect with absolutely no downfalls what so ever. I'm not saying they're hiding anything, I'm saying they purely focussed on what they like and not paying attention to things they disliked. This is suppose to be a review.
NickLiang Of course what I said is not irrelevant, it was a description of exactly what you were doing. Let me put a finer point on where you screwed up: "a review should consist of both good and bad points" "I don't know what the bad points are" See the problem? You are making the assumption that there were bad points that they skipped over. Were there? Are you sure? Nobody's saying it's absolutely perfect. But is it not even within the realm of possibility in your mind that there simply aren't any bad points bad enough to discuss?
