My same issues were cause by a 4 year old battery. what was different, car always started fine but after a few miles errors began to be triggered. I cleared and they would return. These vehicles rely on the battery for stable voltage during immediate power demand surges. Much like a UPS power supply for your PC. If the voltage drops error codes are recorded, low power mode can even be triggered since sensor voltages can be out of range. Another common issue is the ground leads. All ground contact points & cable lugs must be clean and free of corrosion. Bad grounds can cause damaged sensors and devices in the vehicle. Good luck everyone hope this helps some of you.
I had the same problem three days ago in the morning on my 2015 Equinox. it become a battery issue. Changed a new battery the day after. all notifications are gone, it starts as usual & runs perfect for the last 2/3 days.
My 2018 Equinox is giving lots of messages Stablizer, Parking Brake Engaged, Parking Brake Relaesed. Email from Onstar says I have a problem with battery or starter. I went to Auto Zone. They checked both with their machine. It said both are fine. someone said Onstar module was the problem. Im so confused.
I have an Buick Verano 2013 I’m having the same issue in my dashboard says service stabili trak and service power steering like yours I have already taken my car to 3 different GMC dealerships and they do not give me any results, they say that my car has nothing, I am already desperate, someone to help me, oh who has had the same problem HELP PLEASE!!!!!
My 2011 Equinox had a dead battery and those same error messages came up because those systems aren't getting enough voltage so they flash the error messages. Replaced the battery and they never came back.
@@brendandoan_ ah this makes sense. Thank you. I too was wondering why "service stabilitrak" and "service power steering" comes up if its a battery issue
About how many mile was on your car? Mine is doing the exact same thing and I just hit 60000 miles. Was there any way to get it started and drive to a repair place or did you have to have it towed?
UPDATE: Managed to start my car took it in for service problem was a leaking battery terminal. Replaced battery, starts like a champ now. Service guy told me leaking batteries can cause the electronics to go haywire and other weird stuff. I noticed the corrosion the night before when I checked the battery with a multi meter and got 12.9 volts which indicates strong battery.
@@rachelelizabethschneider2974 This happened two years ago in 2019 at the Chevy dealership a new battery cost $137.15 one-year warranty. I live in Florida car batteries don't last long here. Then just this September 2021 the battery died again. Managed to get the car started and went to Auto Zone. Got a 3 year Die Hard Platinum battery for $214.00 tax included and installed. I am keeping a note to replace the battery 2 years from now. Last month the Equinox began stalling and would not stay running. Towed to the dealership the problem was the "Intake Cam Shaft Solenoid Valve" To my surprise this was covered under the Power Trane warranty at 94426 miles. I'm fortunate that all three of these happened at home so I was never stuck somewhere.
@@locker125 Hey there, thanks for your reply! Turns out that the battery was also the problem for me! I took it to the mechanic and got it replaced for about $90!
