Did you scan the code to see what it was?

@@BillOfAllTrades2016 it was gone before I could even get my OBD2 out the console. the check engine was blinking and not solid. The traction control light stayed on though. Got to work, turned the car off started back up with no lights showing at all, not even TC🤔

That’s strange. I had my tc light flicker the other day and go back out. These things can be a mystery. I would say do all the services you were planning, give it a test drive for a good 10 minutes then scan it again to make sure all is well. Is your scanner capable of scanning the bcm as well? Or is it a basic scanner only? Because I had an old scanner that would only pick up engine codes but couldn’t read the bcm codes I had.

@@BillOfAllTrades2016 I have a basic one, but definitely look into one that reads the body control per your recommendation. 🙌🏽🤞🏽

I recommend the bluedriver scan tool. It’s Bluetooth to your phone and only $100CAD roughly. If you have an engine code it will tell you what it is and also it will give you the most common fix that solved the code. It’s very handy.

I had a coworker use an obd scanner that is capable of scanning the bcm. Standard scanners only scan the ecm. The scanner he used is called blue driver. Hooks up to any smart phone. The bcm code will tell you what side is faulty. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps. Please like and subscribe

@@BillOfAllTrades2016 great video I scanned and got 4 codes so I replaced the cable 1st but than did the whole hub and it’s as good as new

I’m waiting for a free one from a collaboration I’m doing with a company. They sent me an alternator that is arriving soon and the hub should arrive in a Couple weeks

That’s weird. I thought I put that in there. Thanks for letting me know. The order you remove and reinstall does not matter. You can start by unplugging the harness and working your way to the sensor. Or start at the sensor and work your way to the harness clip. Hope this helps. Please like and subscribe

It actually ended up being the wheel hub was missing the tone ring. The light came back on shortly after driving again. I replaced the wheel hub and the light is all good now. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

You will need a scan tool capable of scanning all sensors in your car. My co worker lent me his scanner. I put the code s in the description. The scanner he used is called bluedriver obd2 scanner
