This video shows how I replaced the front brake pads of my 2016 Lexus IS350 AWD without removing the calipers.
Tools/Parts List
1. Hydraulic jack
2. Cardboard
3. Jack stands x2
4. Wheel chucks x2 (wood blocks)
5. Socket (21mm)
6. 2-inch C-clamps x2
7. Long nose pliers
8. Allen Key (less than 4mm or 3/16)
9. Gloves
10. Shop towel
11. Brake cleaner (14oz aerosol spray)
12. Brake pads (P/N 04465-30510)
13. Brake grease (0.14oz packet x2)
14. Anti-seize
15. Torque wrench (76 ft-lb)

This the 10th video I’ve watched on this job and man I really appreciate your by the book detail. Even the lift points are often missed in other vids and it’s easy to damage the pinch welds on this vehicle. Great work! Keep it up.

I am looking at purchasing this vehicle. I’m really surprised to see how much easier changing pads are in this compared to my current tsx which uses a traditional caliper. I thought it would be hard but it’s simple. Really impressed. I do wonder about the slider pins though. I’m not familiar with these performance calipers

I would. i tried to jack (hydraulic) from the side, but then i cannot get the stand to fit in the same jacking point. what color are you going for? i'm thinking of painting it someday.

Hey I noticed u installed 2 shims one on top of the other? My brakes pads are making a rattle Noise over bumps in the road.

I’m wondering the same thing, my new brake pads came with one shim only. Not sure if just to use the new one or use one of the old one with the new one.

do I need c clamps or is there another way? does it have to be 2inch?

you could use screw driver or prybar to push the pistons in too. I did not because I didn't want the pointy tip of screw driver to potentially damage the pistons.
