It's not a 10mm nut, it's a M6 x 1.0 nut. The size of the socket to drive this nut may (or may not) be 10mm, but that's not what's important for defining the type of nut to use. What is important are the threads and the those are M6 x 1.0.
I just recently found out that there are 2 more nut and bolt in the middle of the spoiler. You have to remove the plastic cover at the top of the tailgate. Pull it out to dislodged the clips and then tighten them by socket wrench.
