This is a honest review of a C300, which I like quite a bit. Very nice features, but the car has some areas that may need attention. This may help you in your purchase decision.
Dang it, I knew there had to be something to it. I didn't get the manual nor did the dealership explain. I thought it must have been crazy. Thanks for the update.
Yeah but if you put it on s sport mode you can avoid having to deal with that but shit that saved me hella gas I don’t mind it at all got my 2015 turbocharged c300 keyless, panoramic roof, I don’t have a rear view camera but I don’t need it lol
The C Klasse comes equipped with run flats, that is why the ride quality of not good. I recommend a set of "normal" tires for those who are interested in getting a C Klasse or really any German Luxury Auto. Greetings from Switzerland.
Yep, I'm glad I was doing it wrong, otherwise its just so much more upsetting. LOL wish the dealership would have explained but I guess they thought I was competent. Ha!
If you put it in sport, the start stop system automatically switch off... and the e-brake releases automatically if you put it in drive en you hit the accelerator.
Yeah man, I didn't have to worry about the Mercedes Dealer not letting me borrow another car, so I just reviewed the car as it should have been. LOL Thanks!
This was a nice review and you touched upon many aspects which I've noticed when I test drove it. I think the noise and discomfort is due to using run flat tires which make a big difference. Also the engine noise is louder and more like a VW since Mercedes are now using GDI ( gas direct injection) which causes the engine to tick and be louder. How was the E class compared to this c class?
leo leo thanks sir! The engine note was much lower, but the steering was the issue. The E-class was overly assisted and inconsistent when coming to a stop and turning, especially in slow turns. The wheel just became overly too easy and didn't inspire confidence. There was no meat or resistance. it just felt like and unscale Camery. Very nice, but very far from sporty.
Looks pretty awesome to me. I like the materials used and the buttons around the infotainment knob. They may be a bit small and hard to use on the fly but I have no real objections!
Definitely a problem. I drive 2015 C300 and D2 to D3 is not smooth at all. Asked the dealer about it and he let me drive a similar model, and it had the same issue. But, I cannot complain, because that's the only issue i am seeing right now
thats why you take care of your transmission, by Paddle Shifting yourself Perfectly. have yall ever thought about doing that... oh let me guess you DONT KNOW how too use them Correctly LOL.... -_-
Phani Krishna do you still have you C300? I have a 2016 and just hit 72k miles and it still shifts sloppy into 3rd. I always wonder about the reliability in the post 100k will look like.

how do you get to S+? Please share. I was in S mode but I didn't see an S+ option unless it's a secret menu, which would be awesome. Maybe I overlooked it.
hmm maybe this version doesn't have it. My father had 2014 C200 and it had S+ mode. So big difference. Gear chaning was very rough, brutal I would say, but great acceleration. Less comfort, but great acceleration. Maybe you could find it in the menu somewhere? Maybe you need to have Drive Dynamic Package?
yeah the harsh shifts and great acceleration in manual mode remind me of my 550 in manual mode. Down-shifts are definitely not blipped. Yeah maybe if I had more time with it I could have found the menu. I will say I like the idea of extra stuff being available that I can't find in the first 5 minutes. Took me a month before I realized that I could close my trunk automatically from inside the car on my 550. I love that kind of stuff!
Usually true but I wanted to focus on the horrifically cheap instrument cluster Mercedes equipped the car with. They must have heard complaints because the digital displays in th new A & C classes blow this cluster away!
This sums up my experience with this car. The new Volvo X60 is the same, the steering goes full assist at low speed, then super tight at high speed. The new C class does feel like a Chevy Cruise...
@@fcimports9823 Yeah... I couldn't tell how much I steered. I had to adjust the steering halfway through the corner. For me, Audi has nailed the best steering vs precision feel. It's light, consistent and precise. BMW is also good, but stiffer.
@@jackyuehengxu3665 and that's why I drive an A7 now. Lol I love the steering and it reminds me so much of my 944. Very nice, you've validate my opinion! Glad I'm not completely crazy my man!
I’m 16 and I just got this exact model, how come the time doesn’t come up on my center display ? Is it because I’m always on “media” because I play music through Bluetooth ?
I have 2015 E250 cabriolet with the same 2.0 engine. The same sound. What is interesting that, the old, 2004 1.8 kompressor engine sounds WAY better, deeper, more metalic and modern, miles better than this biturbo from 2010s. They failed at sound big way.
I have a 2015 bmw x1 3.5 . 6 cylender with 300 horsepower .test drove this midget the other day . It was damn under powered for me . Realy under powered . The only nice thing I got was the super smooth and soft steering . Damn you could turn it with your breath . Lol .
Stearing wheel is nappa leather, the seats are either Artico man made or genuin leather. Not easy to see the differnce, but the feel is a huge difference. You can tell that on the perforated seats, if it is, then it`s fake. If it` not then it`s real, unless you have vented seats, but again, you can`t have vented seats with fake leather.
That's some good detail, I think I'll always go with vented seats to get real leather. It's funny you bring that up because I rode in my buddies BMW without vented seats and they didn't feel like real leather. Thanks for the info!
John Joshua it never failed me yet and it's 10 years old now. A deer at least 200lbs hit the car while at doing 60mph. I thought the car was totaled. Still drove home like a champ.
I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I don't like... I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! I do like... BUT! Very "honest"
Well would u just prefer a non-informational video? Can you provide me a few examples of videos you've uploaded that have 70k views where the amount of your words are adequate? Tell me, would you rather here music with redundant beats? Would that satisfy your mental fortitude? I really want to know how you developed the accessment. Either you will wow me or completely embrace yourself. Oh wait...... you already did.
And who are you? Where's your channel? And what have you rebuilt? Exactly ...... sooo if you're not a professional driver, certified by Toyota and you haven't worked on an autonomous car project, I dont think you qualify to speak on my knowledge my good man.
