Thank you for the feedback. With the plethora of changes that GM made between the 2015 and 2016 Trucks, at the time, no one had a detailed video of the various “Trims” side by side. We wanted to make a detailed video packed with info as if you were here speaking with someone at our dealership who was demonstrating some of the features and technology. But be assured we will shorten up our 2017 videos for sure :)

I own a 16’ SLE Quad cab with the 5.3L. I love this truck. I looked at both the SLT AND Denali trucks and for the extra money and bragging rights I guess you could go with the fancier trim level trucks. But I felt the SLE had everything I needed. Didn’t need heated seats. Didn’t need the Bose sound system. Didn’t lane assist. As for navigating if I plug in my Apple phone I get the phones GPS on the center screen. Pricing out the higher trim levels, I was adding between 10-18k dollars to the cost. My last trip of 500+ miles I got 26 mpg driving 75-80 mph.

I'm interested in buying a 2016 Sierra. Your review would have been much more valuable if you reviewed something other than the same "info" section in the center menu display in different. Otherwise, you could have a much shorter video by not repeating the same thing in each truck.

No shit eh? I appreciate that someone put the effort in making a video, but holy cow, that was rough...I had to stop half way through the ALL Terrain trim kit, couldn't take it anymore.

Great looking trucks and sure they get decent fuel mileage and We can thank the AFM but after time the lifters fail which grenade the engine so we can thank the AFM for that and until GM fixes this ( which they know) i wont buy one. My Dad was a GM guy and so was I but things change. I Loved my ‘05 Yukon SLT (which im still driving)and wanted a newer one but the problems with Afm,Dod and the vlom in 2009 -present has me looking at Toyota.

In 2019 GM went to DFM (Dynamic Fuel Management) which replaces the old AFM. But I'm sorry to hear about your problems. We haven't seen those problems up here and we have sold thousands of these trucks and in the past 7 years we have had approx. 25 trucks come in with lifter problems outside of warranty. There has been a lot of speculation about ethanol being an issue inside of engines as it causes valves/seals to wear/dry out/degrade sooner because ethanol is a cleaning agent and your engine is always running with a cleaning agent inside of it, which makes sense to me. Here in Canada 10% ethanol is common but 20% 35% & E85 aka 85% is very hard to find but these high ethanol fuels are very common in the US. E85 will wear out your engine prematurely and give you worse fuel economy than a 10% ethanol blend. PS Ford trucks have timing chain issues, Ram has the HEMI tick and misfire issues, Tundra has Check Engine Light issues putting your truck into limp mode & major paint/rust issues so if you look hard enough you'll be happy to find problems with all trucks. Appreciate the comment and hope you have better luck with your next rig.

No that’s not true that has only happened to a limited number of motors look up how many ford eco boost engines have failed and compare all the major manufacturers have engines that fail look it up compare you will find GM has the fewest

I can't get Android Auto on mine

Depending on your phone try this. 1. In your truck go to settings and reset all vehicle and infotainment settings. 2. On your phone go to Bluetooth and delete all paired vehicles. 3. On your phone search for Android Auto and ensure it's turned on and that s-voice or Hey Google are turned on. 4. Pair your phone to the truck. 5. Plug in a good quality/original Android USB cable into the phone and the USB on they dash or center console (some gas station and cheap amazon USB cables are a problem). 6. You should be good.
