I followed your instructions (and the ones on the website) and successfully installed these tweaks on my 2017 Abarth 124 Spider. I really like the addition of the speedometer and the addition of a digital speed indicator. I recommend these tweaks.
Steven, can you email or post your scorpion background screen as a comment to this page? I've had other users ask for it. 21stcenturyfiat124spider.wordpress.com/2017/03/11/abarth-124-startup-screens/
Does the infotainment system itself have some sort of Wireless or Cellular Connection? The reason why I ask is how does one obtain updates, stock updates I should say for the OS. And if you do get an update from FCA, does it overwrite all the changes that you just did with this custom install? Thanks for your time :-)
If you do this, you need to go to the website in the links I posted in the description. You need to be certain the tweaks are compatible with the software in your car. If it has been updated by the dealer it may not be compatible with tweaks.
I had a look myself but couldn't find a mention of it on his site. Any idea how to get rid of the bloody 'Town Entry Point' alert? None of the checkboxes in the settings around GPS alerts etc. seem to change it. It's pretty annoying considering I drive through a 'town entry point' every day.. I've also noticed sometimes it brings the volume down to tell me about a town entry point, speed camera etc. but never says anything, then the volume stays down for ages.. I think that's a bug, have you had that problem at all? Cheers
Hey steven thanks for the video. I get to the very end to transfer the files to the USB formatted FAT 32 and It won’t copy the files over. it says it has incorrect parameters. Do you have any thoughts?
Bro I made this vid with one of the first N/A cars. I haven't owned the car in while being forced to get a more practical alternative (alfa giulia Q4) for my climate quite some time ago. I'd suggest checking the 124 forums. Best of luck it's one of the most enjoyable vehicles I have ever owned and wish I had the means to keep it.
Anyone know if the infotainment screen and backup camera can be retrofit to function in a non infotainment 2017 124 Classica ? Are the MX-5 Miata and the Fiat 124 infotainment systems compatible on both cars? Thanks in advance!!!!
I got them here www.ebay.com/itm/201911837313?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Not great but will work for the mean time. I talk about it in one of my other videos here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c6C8Mih9SXg.html
Actually my cousin is a very good hot rod builder and has agreed to build a custom stainless full exhaust for it. However getting him to actually do it.....that's been challenging. Hopefully I will be doing a video of that process soon.
I tried to donate and download the tweaks file but the donate isn't working and I can't find anyway to contact someone - how can I download this tweaks pack
Crazy there isn't more recent comments since they're still making 124 spiders. I got a 2019 I'm planning on giving a hack attempt. Haven't heard back after donating though
Hey I was wondering if the site still works, it seems to have been up for a while now. I’m a little hesitant on uploading software into my car as I’m worried I’ll stuff I up completely?
You get warnings before d/l to the car. Some options are not recommended. I've tried different options and no issues. This is for a 2018 Abarth 124-Spider (EU) as on the UK.
One thing i dont understand (and saw it again in the speedo language) is how in the hell is there no option for it to be in italian?? I mean come on, its supposed to be italian 🤦🏻♂️
Buy the card and insert in the car (vehicle must be absolutely turned off) Then switch on the vehicle and drive for few km or miles so that GPS and SD card talk each other. Important verify your car has 7" radio and GPS is the enabled. (if you turn the vehicle on before doing all of this and push nav button you should see the compass working on the display)
