If you were to install a custom cam that would support that blower would it gain a good amount of power or is the stock 6.4 cam pretty good ? Also would like to know if porting the heads would increase power or is it not really needed with these apache heads ?

Gees I’m loving you guys work I wished I could get my 2012 charger to you all but this Dam Covid 19 crap everything on lock down, I wanted to get some kooks long tubes with high flow cats, Bolar attak exhaust, a cam, catch can, 392 manifold, high torque converter, and rear gears done , what would be the price for parts and installation? What was the dyno numbers before the upgrade. I also was wondering why the customer didn't wait till they could save up for the cam and lifters before going forward with the build. Very informative video. First time I seen the motor come out the old way. Through the top

I like the build. Little confused at why not a D1 or bigger? It’s very costly to start adding headers, cam, intercooler and bigger head unit after it’s back in the car. But good power!

I'm a Procharger fan, I own a F1 but I'm not a fan of the P1. There is just no where to go. If you had put a D1 on with a wagon wheel pulley then when you want more all you need is a pulley. We all know that YOU ARE GOING TO WANT MORE!!

What's a rough price point for that? Piston rods and the procharger and estimated labor cost(i know all shops are different)? I plan on getting a similar setup but I'm not gonna do it myself.

now, if i did forged pistons, a cam, a whipple supercharger, would that give me more horsepower? maybe around 660?

Thanks for the video, I might just do this same setup. While the engine was out i probably would of added longtube headers and a cam. That probably would of made close to stock Hellcat power

For anyone that's confused, the government mandate on exhaust gases have forced auto manufacturers to move rings closer and closer to the end of the pistons. This is dangerous if you begin to blow larger ci engines because a detonation in the wrong area =$$. A lot of it. So, by doing the pistons, he can if he chooses to, 1 get low compression pistons because a engine benefits more from boost than compression, and 2- get ones with lower rings. The edges of the pistons won't be as brittle. If he wanted to and had to money, he could have stroked it and replaced the rods, BUT again, $$ is an issue. Now the 345 hemi doesn't need to have the pistons replaced although it it wouldn't hurt. One of the differences in the truck version of the 392 is the rings are "normal" and all of the internals are stronger and heavier. BUT, it's 410 hp 430 tq. It's made to run forever under load so it's not turned up as much either. I have never tried to crank up a truck 392 so I don't know how far it will go. If this guy does a cam and stroke, and lowers the the head compression, and slaps on a larger intake manifold with long tubes- it will beat a red eye. Mopars are and have always been great to modify. If you can find an old 6.1l set motor, and bolt that intake manifold right to a 5.7l 345ci, with a tune you'll pick up 40 and 40 right away which will improve with long tubes and exhaust.

Guy shoulda saved on the procharger and just went nitrous. Gonna run a 75-100shot soon. Only because I don’t want to open motor. And yes I will run safely , have been reading up on it for months.

Stock 392 WHP is around 440hp. So around 150 hp gain.

So, what does something like this ultimately cost? I have a 2015 JGC SRT and want to do a whipple. I’m not trying to get a ton of boost, about 8lbs, just want the motor to be happy.

621WHP? forged pistons and blower i thought 850 easy, theres a procharged stock internals and drive shaft R/T making 648WHP...

Im assuming the owner wants to go slow? F1 if it was mine. That engine should easily make 1000hp. Steve Morris took a cammed forged stock head 392 with twins and made 1600crank with full accessory drive on e85. Over 1170 i think on 93 pump. Headers arent the huge gainers on these motors especially under 1000hp. I'm still using stock on my Hellcat pullied to 17lbs. Maybe a better intake.
