With all of these mods/costs, it seems like when it's all said and done, you're damn near close to just buying a Hellcat Crate engine AND you can't even get anywhere close to the Hellcat boost levels!
Thank you for the response but, I cant see this kit being popular when you consider you can get a procharger , whipple etc ... maybe if you can find a better way to get price down this could be a great option for guys like me
@ Modern Muscle Performance You guys just changed the game! I'm in the market for an 14' Charger R/T Max AWD but upon purchase I will definitely be reaching out to you for a Hellcat Supercharger Adapter Kit!
Any updates? We could use another video with the following. Has this engine been put into a vehicle. What kinda numbers can we expect? Any chance the ram conversion is next? Good luck with this.
Are hellcat gaskets able to work with the 5.7 cylinder heads without damaging valves etc I'm upgrading my valve stems on my 5.7 to 1.575 and 2.080 big race valves that are offered on Arrington performance
The demon and the red eye are lol...also the hellcat is forged enough to make 850rwhp all day long plus the piston rings aren’t dropping out the cylinders at high rpm under boost..
Turns out the same way it does when you pull up in a grenade boom except the piston rings being so low come down out of the cylinder bore start rocking kaboom would’ve been cheaper just to drop at 6.2 crate motor in there
Gotta real expert here. Here’s the problem the hellcat motor is 15k upwards now how the hell is that cheaper then this kit? Defier performance has done many kits of these 8k for full kit. Not including labor. If you swap the hellcat motor then you gotta swap the hellcat transmission as the hp70 can’t handle the power of the hellcat. That’s another 6 to 7k not including labor. So how’s that cheaper?
Also trying to figure this out. I believe it would be possible, if possible for the chargers of the same year I would imagine it would be especially the same. But I’ve yet to see anyone ever do it.
Had to re invent the wheel but our shop in phx got the 6.1 to work with hellcat blower far as we know and seen my cars the only 6.1 with this conversion 🤘 #magkat hit me up on ig @wickedwagon602
@@DT_DETAILING yes remove the 6.4 and drive under a 6.2 and drop it in,lol..if you want a 6.4 you need to at least change the pistons rings come out the cylinders at high rpm under boost
Has anyone out there done this on their 6.1 yet ? I'm sure that they finally have the adapter plate available for the 6.1 by now, because I was talking to MMX last year about it and they were working on the Jig design. They said that they were pretty close to completing it, so I'm sure that it's available to purchase. I've been thinking about doing it on and off, but was hoping to see somebody do one for the 6.1. There's a channel called TA life fallen angel, and the guy installed a hellcat blower on his 5.7 with the adapter. It sounded great and would love to have an IHI blower on my challenger. I thought about supercharging it in the past and looked at the Whipple as well as Magnusons, but the whine from those IHI blowers produce is just over the top and want it
I wanna do this to my 05 RT magnum! I’ll be contacting very soon after the super charger comes in! Can’t I just buy the hellcat valve covers instead of running my stock valve covers so I can still put oil in the engine?
The whole kit is just expensive it costs around a new whipple supercharger which has bigger air capacity it doesn't make sense to spend all this money to get a 1.9blower vs spending the same money with a 2.9l blower right ? So we need to know the necessary parts I already have a forged internals 17 rt 5.7 probably going to run the same amount of boost on the hellcat around 11psi what do I exactly need I don't want the extras I will be daily driving this so I don't want any headaches
I have 2005 Dodge Magnum RT 5.7l Hemi. This will fit or I need newer block? What’s your advice? PS I do not race on the streets but I do seldom show off. More or Less, going be my show car
Are you stuck running the stock 6 rib accessories if you get the adapter plates to run the Hellcat on a 6.4? Or is there an option to run a dedicated 8 rib belt for the supercharger?
Got a '15 Jeep srt. I keep eyeing up entire hellcat engines, both used and new. Seems like a hellcat crate could be a better value than forging my block, then buying a Whipple. Would I just need the controller, heat exchanger, intercooler pump with lines, then tune it with my existing computer setup?
DodgeZ no argument from us but people requested a kit so we built it I think the hot rod crowd is what is really the people looking where there are no kits
I love your kit, we just can't find the video evidence. People want to commit, if people go before them.( Know one like to test the waters) Video update may help I see you have kits now, and even more...
Well considering someone had to take the hellcat blower off for them to become available, MORE THAN LIKELY ON A MISSION TO PUT SOMETHING EVEN CRAZIER ON THAT BLOCK... I always have to find it funny how all the dainty crowd that just want light customization and 'daily drivability' find their way onto vids that blatantly stem from or are about doing insanity
As a business It would be nice if you could answer questions asked as there are concerns before I tear down part of my new motor to do this and just saying it can be done well its a big expense to be veg is there a suggested parts list with part numbers for what you don’t carry, will I have to trailer it to get it tuned or should it run acceptable at first startup to get it tuned. Are there issues with error lights in the dash, does cylinder reduction still work when your not boosting . It doesn’t appear to be that difficult but if I put it all together and have a questions are you guys there to answer questions.
I’ve been wondering if this was even possible for my 6.4 Now that I see it is. I got happy until dude kept talking and said this is going to require XYZ & ABC & EFG. Lol 😒 basically way to much for me to try and do in my garage My skills are not that good
Matthew Falcon honestly we can offer you a Whipple kit than anyone I mean better not cheaper It will have a proper fuel system and boost management Register on Website 276-340-3941 Text your contact information when done
