Please consider changing the title of your video- it’s not giving this phenomenal video it’s due justice. This should be a mandatory video for driving instructors. The instructor’s feedback is calm and concise while under stress. Listen to his analogies. This is a tool used to improve learning retention. His criticism comes immediately upon a mistake yet the delivery is supportive- he doesn’t make it personal and he doesn’t linger on the issue. Most importantly his genuine enthusiasm transcends into motivation and better performance from his student. You can feel the student’s desire to satisfy his instructor! I wish I knew the background on the coach- His technique echos of a military or emergency responder background. Good man and a phenomenal teacher. Please, please consider a different title. This is a goldmine of information for those of us who teach. Thank you for posting, warmly, Boston

Instructor is great, But props to the driver here. he was mostly on point and used all the track where he needed to. clearly not the first pony ride.

This is great instruction. Confident delivery, not overwhelming the driver with info, but keeping him laser focused on what the car is communicating back to him and how to command more from it.

Wow, the coach even found time to make an analogy with 50 pound boxes between corners, as he said earlier "you have more time than you think". The dude is an absolute monster!

I’ve seen a lot of Nordschleife laps on RU-vid, but none as interesting as a lap narrated by a good instructor, like this guy. If only the lap was green throughout. Thank you for leaving this video up. 👍

Nicely instructed. Clear and to the point. The points about looking to where you want to go are so relevant and more so with bikes when riding at high speed.

The driver is already very good but the instructor is superb. You can see the driver get faster over the course of the video thanks to the instruction. I agree with the comment that this is a phenomenal video!

This vid has been on my "suggested viewing" list for a long time and I finally watched it. I tend to fall into the old Top Gear mindset of "oh boy, the Nurburgring...", but this was less about the track and more about the driver/instructor relationship. What an amazing teacher and friend you have! And what a great opportunity to take a fast, fun car around the track with him.

Cool experience D. Brown, thanks for sharing. I've a 2018 RS and love it. Some of the comments on here though, geez...don't understand the haters. As far as the Ferrari, the coach even said, "he's letting you pass" then he said, "don't know what happened there." That Ferrari was taking a lotta corners way wide/poor driving. The video is about the experience and not about the Ferrari though, right? :)

that coach knows alot about that ring, he was being conservative believe it or not, at max attack there was still more tips and tricks to be told, many of the turns when your going flat out, there is only one way to hit them or you'll run out of road and be going to fast to brake mid turn the curbs are a must on the ring to hit, and a few are deadly aswell. knowing the difference is the difference between crashing or going faster.. fast laps on this track require perfection aside from a very few turns.

I passed a BMW i8 the other other day in my Octavia 1.6TDI estate. He was broken down with his hazards on.
