Make sure you're sitting down when you read this. During a 12-hour daily dealer operating window, Ford sells five F-150 pickup trucks every minute, almost 300 an hour and around 12,000 per day, coming in at almost 800,000 units per year.
That's around three quarters of Australia's car industry each year for just one model. In fact, it's so popular that it has been America's best selling vehicle for over 30 years.
So with that in mind we jetted over to the US of A to test the kitted-out 2017 Ford F-150 Limited, the top-specification F-150 variant that is priced from US$59,600. The entire F-150 range kicks off from a more modest US$26,540.

kodiak7 I live in San Francisco, I own a 2016 hilux 3.0 srv in Nicaragua that I bought for 41k $us. Fully loaded, you guys get the same cars we do, and there's no need for American trucks in Nicaragua, I'm not really sure how the roads are in Australia but American trucks are not build for tough roads, mainly freeways and boulevards.

I would go for Ford F-150 Platinum 4x4 Super-crew 5.0L V8 10-Speed Auto. I also liked the F250 for certain tasks.

Yes people think that v6 it's funny,that's what I was thinking. I was a v8 chevy guy sence I test drove the unlimited f150 ooo man it's beautiful fast n strong. That guy forgot that you can but it on sport mode

Are full size pickup trucks not common in Australia? I know they’re nowhere near as popular as they are in America but I thought they still had them down under. The F-150 Crewcab is an average length truck here in America. The heavy duty Ram 3500 with the MegaCab dually is long coming in at 249.9 inches long or almost 21 feet. Even longer yet the Ford F-350 Crew Cab long bed dually measures in at 266.2 inches or 22 feet 2 inches long! That’s 6.75 meters long for those who use the metric system. What’s even crazier is that there’s guys that pay to have their trucks converted into 6 door cabs and longer. Those trucks can surpass 300 inches long. I wouldn’t want to have to park any of them.

No it's not, standard trim levels of the f-150 comes with a 5.7l v8 or a 6.7l v8. Also, this is a LIGHT DUTY TRUCK in N. America, there are bigger trucks than this.

I have a 2015 F150 Ecoboost Platinum. They're pieces of crap. Mine crapped out with only 54K miles. In one visit to the dealership that suckered me into buying this pile it cost me $5500 in repairs in one visit. Yes this pile was only serviced at the place that charged me $5500. Run from these piles. Buy a GMC, Dodge, Toyota or just ride the bus. You 'll save money and heartache. Sure these look pretty but they're horrible. Like I said mine is currently rotting in my driveway. Their all aluminum body couldn't protect you from a drunken angry squirrel. The only beings enjoying it right now are the wasps. They built a nest in the front wheel well.

Paolo quartarone am aware of that, and it's the same reason why we have four cylinder mustangs and light beer. Still seems out of place, an F truck that sounds like a Honda Accord.
