Chris - since you're the only journalist who talks while using these binaural microphones I feel like I'm YOU when I watch these, your voice feels like its coming from me because of the audio perspective these microphones provide. It's very cool what you guys do.
+Dan Murphy hahah, it's true. Thanks Dan, the binaural audio can be a little freaky sometimes but I think it offers a truly unique and informative experience 👍
+DoctaM3 Whenever I drive a truck a little voice in my head goes "wawaweewah, King in the castle, king in the castle" in Borat's voice...it's automatic now, I can't control it 😂
I love your vids. Please put a camera on your pedals in the corner of the screen especially when u get on it.. it would truly set your vids apart from everybody else in the game and would give people an idea of the power each vehicle has. Much love bro!
I really like that truck Chris, is just amazing, doesn´t have any other words to describe it. I have driven the F150 with the old school V8 engine, it´s awesome, but nothing compares to a Raptor, it´s in a whole new level. Ford has made an incredible job making this truck, with the V6 Ecoboost engine, you can jump any where you like. If I had the money to afford it, I would buy it now! Thanks Chris for the review, showing the entire car, keep doing it, great job!! :):)
It's a nice upgrade. I've had the '13 and '15 Raptors previously and now the '17. Such a difference a few years make. Everything on the '17 is better. I don't think the truck was meant to be driven with the paddles, it's just a cool factor gimmick. Since purchase, I've tossed the Fox shocks for Kings which is a HUGE upgrade. I agree with the brakes, after 3000 miles it's still the same.
Idk, I've got a 2014 Raptor and I'm not too sure if I would want to transition to the gen 2 raptor. No V8 kinda kills it for me. If they brought one out with a Coyote 5.0 I'd be all over it but for now I think I'm sticking with my '14 for as long as I can.
at 2:10...I think this is not a new feature. The Ford transit passenger van has the same thing (I rented one last summer). I used the + - button to select how many gears it can use in auto mode (shifter on D). So when going through some of the hilly roads around the smokey mountains I limited the thing to 4 gears. This is a nice feature especially if the vehicle is loaded with passengers and their stuff.
+hisham202 I've heard Ford has implemented this in some way or another in the past with the F-150 too. My co-presenter at WR, Chris Ostberg said his F-150 has it, but he can't manually select gears with the paddles. Pretty cool stuff, I can see where it'd be useful.
Awsome video man! Good luck with your channel! I've just started something similar myself, maybe you can take a look! I've just subbed, keep up the good work!
OnTheRocks It's funny you said that. I keep bending rims driving around the NYC area in the winters. Plus we keep having massive snow storms. I could even take it on the beach, but seriously need it to drive from Long Island to NJ on the Cross Bronx Expressway and not get a bubble in a tire.
