Ford has probably the best technology speed and responsiveness I've ever seen, and I've driven and owned Audi, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, and Mercedes. It's incredibly slick and intuitive!
Hi Ryan, I bought the car, traded in a 14 Fusion Titanium, AWD is standard, I would get the interior upgrade package, I really like the car, I hope that helps you.
armymatt83 I know I was partially kidding, the car sounds pretty good. Have you heard about the device's that auto manufacturers use though to enhance the sound as it comes into the cabin using the speakers? That's what I was referring too
yeah I've heard of it they do it because they put so much effort into making the cars quite that it kills any engine sound before it gets into the cabin. but the fusion sport just uses a special duct to channel sound into the cabin. the funny thing is I've heard people claim the fusion sport engine sounds like a v8, now I have a v8 powered car and I've test driven the fusion sport and they sound nothing alike.
armymatt83 I definitely love the sound of a V8 but manufacturers are getting pretty good at making v6's that sound good too, they'll never be quite like a V8 though.
Great review man, I’m looking at almost this exact car right now with 85k miles for $15k.. I wanted the platinum white metallic but hard to beat the look of the black one with tinted windows..
Nice review, Gold Pony! The 2017 Ford Fusion looks amazing in that sport trim, and that engine growl sounded pretty good! I haven't reviewed any Ford products yet, but I really want to start to. Keep up the great work, Gold Pony! 🖒 -DriveAndBeDriven 🚘 "The Quest To Record The Best!"
I have black one, paint is "iffy" to say at least. I had a Dodge and a Subaru before no issues with scratches but this Ford seem to be like my wife Toyota. Pretty basic paint job...
I have a 15 fully loaded fusion Ecoboost with bleach leather seats. I want this exact sport so bad but I owe on mine still or I would trade it in for the sport. I would have to have black leather but haven't seen a sport with it yet.
i really like that sport fusion . so glad they made that catfish mouth front grill smaller . nice hp and torque on the sedan . looks like you can have fun driving this ford . thx for the indepth review and for keeping them around ten minutes or so . how about 2017 Chrysler 300C review when have time . just drove the new2017 alfa romero Giulia TI . its sweet ride but I want the qudrifolglio
Ok, I found it - thanks! One quick question about this car - you mention it has 3 driving modes: normal, comfort, and sport. I see the S button on the shift dial for selecting sport mode but how do you select between normal and comfort modes? Can you select this manually or does the car select modes automatically only when sport is not selected? Once again, thanks.
This car's performance is almost identical to the Taurus SHO straight line, but with a smaller engine and less weight, and a cheaper price, in other words, the Taurus is a dead weight model now.
The actual exaust note at a stand still sounds horrible. no gargle no throatiness no nothing. Thats how u can tell they are piping in artificial sound when driving
does anyone know where I can buy parts for the 2017 Fusion? I've owned my SE Ecoboost since June and I'm annoyed that I still can't find after market parts. and I'd like to switch my chrome grill out with the black one that's on the sport
Salvadol Gilbert you have a 2017 and are annoyed that in the same year there's no aftermarket parts for it? You need to just relax, take a deep breath, relax and allow some time for aftermarket manufacturer's to make things for it lol
"Tilt" steering wheels now a days crack me up. More like tilt steering column. Of the dozen or so newer vehicles I've driven in the last several years, not one had an old school tilt wheel where only the wheel tilted. Now all you get is trying to moving the whole column down but the top of the wheel usually still slants away from you towards the dash. Not nearly as comfortable as the old days (in my opinion).
so expensive! and for an interior made almost entirely full of plastic? ewww! poor reliability, cheap build quality, and sub par connectivity for this segment. no thanks! better off with a Mazda 6, Malibu, or accord.
