I know this was an excellent exhibition race, but I noticed as the Miss Bud entered the corners the driver would accelerate. Was this acceleration to “ Set or plant” the hull, or create a large rooster tail of spray or just maintain position with the other boat due to the longer distance around the outside of the course? Thanks!
What a aqua Hot Rod ...! Hanging to the outside looking for that Clean Water , keeping the nose up she's got the Power alright . How I miss Bernie Little . R.I.P. MY MAN ..
Not sure on the speeds excatly, probably about 130 tops. They are taking it easy. No sense in damaging a boat, killing a driver or blowing up one of the expensive engines that are fewer and fewer every day. The hydroplane museum did a great job restoring these boats! Absolutely beautiful
@@nordicpride9708 yes it was. I was the last person to get his autograph before he got into the Miss Budweiser. I watched the hole thing unfold that day and the race wasn't the same without him and the Miss Budweiser that day in July 1982.
