I was always a Fatboy guy, especially for the newer ones with the super fat tires, but there was always something about the Slim and its “old school” look that I just gravitated towards. I bought a brand new 2019 Slim in the denim red and just absolutely love this bike. Whenever I get out on the road, it’s just amazing at how much attention this bike gets. It’s certainly not from me. These are not long distance bikes though and I don’t ride far anyway so it works perfect for me. I put a Mother Road’s Custom tractor seat on mine and added higher risers for the handlebars and it made a difference in the comfort. People have a hard time trying to figure out if it’s a restored old motorcycle or if it is actually new. I love it. This golden olive green is a great color in it I must say. Great video! This is my favorite Harley, for it's classic profile :. Beefy rims, lace spokes, color option could've been expanded. But the Softail Slim is the bike to hang onto. A truly classic due to it styling ques from the WW II era but with a lower seating position. I would advise not customizing too much that it begins to not be the same bike it was meant to be; exhilarating but not insanely overdone personaliz, not "customized" . I envy those who have ' THIS 'bike. These are worthy of having hanging as wall ornaments when the rider has to retire riding. I hope the the heads at HARLEY-DAVIDSON haven't decided discontinue this model before more people learn to appreciate its appeal. I'm. Gonna get one, somehow , for myself.
Well said, Patrick I have a 2019 in the denim red and it’s a piece of artwork in my opinion. I’ve pretty much left it 99% stock other than new pipes, new seat and some other chrome parts. Harley stopped making this model back in 2021, but there are a lot of low mileage examples out there. Get one, you will not regret it.
