Barra is that good they sold it worldwide.. oh wait Barra is that good it's still being produced.. oh wait

Ash Cosmo Is worldwide sales a a reliable measure for the quality of a product? Is the discontinuation of a product a criterion for quality? Everybody's an expert these days. Sadly for you, the answer is no. The Barra would not have been able to be competitively priced overseas as it is an Australian made engine, it is expensive to produce products in Australia - hence why many businesses/factories move overseas for their manufacturing. The same could be said for Japan, where many products were made in Japan and only produced for the Japanese market. Nissan Skylines are amongst them with an exception to very early models in the 80's. From an engineerings perspective, the Barra is a masterpiece, a locally produced engine that can do 1000,000+Km's (Taxis) and keep going, is something to be proud of. Regardless if the Commodore fanboys don't like it.

VF Series 2 SS still sounds way better
