I spent about 2 years thinking about where Hyundai took inspiration for the design of the Hyundai Elantra, it's easy to point the obvious German Audi aesthetic, but now I have come to the conclusion that it's a combination of German and British designs; they took inspiration from the Jaguar XF headlights by making it more sharp and angular, while the grill is from Audi's design study for the evolution of the Audi grill. And sure enough, two years later after the Elantra's launch, Audi released the 2019 A8 with an uncanny resemblance to the 16' Elantra.

Todays Korean car design looks more elegant and sophisticated with its streamline euro-inspired understated design compared to japanese cars with radical "Sporty" designs that look Cartoonish/Anime-ish. Also Hyundai/Kia's affordable compact sedans dont look like budget-meal cars.

ganda nang design nung nakaraang Accent at Elantra. Ngayon pangit na yung bagong mga model. hindi na sporty look... nawala na ang fluidic front to rear sleek looks..

Question.. why is it that cars in philippines were like "watered down?" Yng elantra ksi sa canada is superb.. that's accdg sa kpatid ko. Never xa ngka issue at nsa 75,000km na yng mileage nya in 3years na gnagamit. Anong meron dito satn na prang binabarat tyo ng manufacturer?

Classy European look. Same vibe as audi's and BMW's. Sophisticated Simplicity over radical pretentious sporty design. In my opinion The most beautiful sedan design for its segment today. Though the previous elantra model prior to this one didnt look so great with aggressive lines and horn like headlights.

correct sir, I think the Elantra is overpriced...no bluetooth, no backup sensor, not touchscreen infotainment system, no automatic power window..not worth to be priced at 1 million

overpriced talaga sya. tignan niyo pagpasok niyo ng hyundai showroom. ung elantra pinakamababa ang down. my time pa nga na no down payment sya kasi d mabili. hahha d worth it

elantra’s features are a bit outdated with it’s price you can get a better car that’s under a million, the same goes thing goes with the accent yes it’s cheaper but you can get a better car in it’s price range.my dad had to add a couple of thousands to add a lcd touchscreen display, it looks like a cool looking car on the outside but inside it’s like a car from the 90’s or something.my dad’s about to buy me a new car i was telling him to buy honda city instead, it’s way cheaper and infotainment system is way better and it has three charging ports, and it’s less than a million pesos.

It's really a bargain for a compact car... Imbes na bumili ka ng maliliit at mahihinang brand new car like wigo, mirage, celerio, etc etc... Better consider this big car 1.6L .. you can find a unit with less than 10k mileage at around 500k...
