@@thewildberry2822 Yes! Still got it and it's been a great car. Got about 75k miles on it now and I've barely done anything except change the oil and put new tires on it a couple years ago.
What do you mean the fit and finish are ok? Hyundai has some of the best quality control in the business. The dash and interior are on par with vehicles costing $10,000 more.
I bought a 2012 Honda pilot with 50000km on it and traded it in for a 2017 santa fe xl after 1 month. The VCM was jerky and bogged on the highway at cruising speed, airbag trouble light was coming on periodically and for nearly $30000 was not worth the money! The Santa fe drives smoother, has 40 more hp! with .3 liters less engine more safety features that actually work, all for only $8100 more. Should mention it's an ex rental with 22000km on it. Lots of em out there in BC right now, saved over $8000 from new. Don't let the ex rental thing scare you either, it's not crazy kids driving these things. Ours was in almost immaculate shape. I recommend Maple Ridge Hyundai, they gave me best deal on the pilot, was even almost $100 more than we paid for it including tax!
IMO you should have reviewed the passenger seating, access to the 3rd row, passenger cooling, etc a little more. After all this is meant to be a family car!
Do some research before you buy this car, if you haven't already… look at the mechanical side of the car. You'll find a wealth of information, that will save you tons of money and serious frustration and a car to actually drive :)
I have a 2015 Ultimate Limited AWD in black on black with the 3.3 motor. I love the vehicle however I worry about the all glass roof. So far no issues but some have had glass breaking on some Hyundai models, and Kia also. 2013-2015 years affected.
Great review, best one I've seen. However, I've heard that Apple Car Play is not included yet (that's why it's not in the menu)...only Android Auto is available. No date as to when/if Apple Car Play update will be provided.
The Santa Fe has came a long way, from the ugly looking 1st gen to the decent looking 2nd gen.. Now I think this is the best looking one in its class, the rest of its competitors look like minivans and all look alike. I like this exterior and interior, along with the nice colors to choose from.
What's the weird piece of tape looking thing on the driver's seat? Also this thing looks almost as nice as a Ford Edge, Hyundai cars look surprisingly good
Good review. Do you know if 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe have a sliding armrest as I am 5.7" and really would like to have this feature. Also the driver seat adjustment is only 8 way instead of 10 way. Does that really make a difference in long commute?
+Lexi Lea tbh! it's a great car for a big family but if you're going to drive by your self then it's not the car for you and it does takes a lot of gas. overall it's good car.
king kong... Depends on what you need the vehicle for... I'm single, have had 2 SF's. An '07, currently own an '11, and now looking to purchase a '17. I fold the rear seat backs down and use the entire rear area for storage while on vaycay or camping/fishing trips etc... Perfect for the single person IMO... ✔✔✔
The fuel tank is too small. Cooling Power Machinery and passenger substandard. There are no muscles in the bottom of the car bore the harsh use in the prairies and mountains. There are no refrigerator water for passengers between the passenger and driver independent adjuster.
Not really. For 32k, the Hyundai gives you many more features than the base Pilot. We have a 2011 Pilot Touring and if we had waited until 2013 to get a new car, the Hyundai would've given us more features for less money. We're about to purchase a new SUV and we're deciding between a new Pilot, MDX, or Santa Fe.
