** Huge issue with Oil contamination ( Gas in Oil ) .1.5L Turbo engine. It's NOT just in extreme cold weather , either. Huge China recall on the 1.5T engine about 6 months ago about 500, 000 CRV's . Honda has DONE NOTHING in North America with same issue !!! Gas in Oil is huge issue . Engines will fail after warrantee period , prematurely , after warrantee . CAN be safety issue , as well .
I was seriously considering the HR-V But am now considering the CR-V. I need the magic seats! But the Acura RDX is still on the top of my list. 😊 To be continued...
Real reason why The Honda CRV is probably best in class is because they have Rear climate controls and flat floors in the back seat area. That Large cargo area is good as well.
A fairly comprehensive if rather dry review, filled with qualifiers like "fairly attractive interior". No mention of options (or prices) available. The 4-wheel drive is expensive. You can load these babies up with things like: roof rack about $800; running boards about $700; trailer hitch maybe $600; doorsill illuminated plates about $500, etc.
Wow! After MUCH further "review" if you are into turbo get the Touring! It is awesome! The quality of the leather is even better! No it is not a "race car" and has lag off the line unless in "S" mode but wow! The Touring has noticeable positive differences all around vs. non Touring models. That being said, if you are not into turbo the 2.4L non turbo is not to be sneezed at either. With the non turbo new CRV simply add a high flow air filter to the engine. You will 100% notice the difference. The Touring is SO NICE! I am sure Honda will eventually offer the NUTS 250+ HP 2.0T from the new Accords at some point but that is a bit much for this old man ha! This actually is the best CRV ever! I went from a 2004 LX CRV that spun like a top for hundreds of thousands of miles to this new turbo. Biggest performance difference is the off the line 2 second "turbo lag" when not in "S"(sport) gear. Aside from that the new CRV has more ground clearance vs my old beloved 04, more room inside all around and better brakes. NOTE-the turbo CRV loves 93+ octane vs 87. I notice the difference that is for sure. Good luck!
Why the USA version don't have electric folding of the mirrors and head-up display? The brazilian version fold electrically and have the head-up display
Anybody who owns the 2018/2019 cr v touring please tell me if has the oil delusion problem , i traded the exl 2018 for the exl 2019 and they both stall... thanks
Sean Brennan I recall seeing a panoramic sunroof option at the dealer's. Options were not discussed in the video nor the distinguishing features of the top model vs. The EX.
Brandon Woodson No it’s a compact crossover and always has been. It’s never been classified as midsized as that title belongs to the Pilot. The HR-V is a subcompact crossover that competes with the Toyota CH-R and Kia Soul which aren’t compacts.
Pretty sure it is. The Canadian version has heated steering wheel and a panoramic moonroof on the Touring trim. Other countries get these features too.
CR-V has bigger cabin, larger cargo space, better fuel efficiency, advance technology with an IIHS Top Safety Pick+... moreover, it has earned top honors from MotorTrend, Car and Driver, Kelly Blue Book, AutoGuide 🥇... no other vehicle in any other category has received such accolades... too good for the competition.
You guys are nuts. The crv front end is horrible. Mazda is so much nicer looking, unfortunately the crv is better everywhere else. That bulky chrome grill is ugly.
