As an owner of a 2015 Trailhawk one of the best reviews of ALL the features that the Trailhawk has to offer! Kudos sir!!! When you get done there is almost no need for an owners manual!!!

This is actually my wife's Trailhawk. Scott and Summer told us to look for a video, but I just caught it due to them posting the Roush Mustang view you just finished. We love the Cherokee, but we are finding out that packing for trips is a little tougher than before due to having less room in the rear. We previously had a 2006 4Runner. Thanks for the great video!

We've had our 2016 Trailhawk for a few months and truly impressed with this Jeep! This Jeep will be my wife's while I drive our 2012 Grand Cherokee Limited--I tried to trade her straight across but no such luck-I told you I was impressed. Have enjoyed most of the Trailhawk videos, well presented for the more typical customer! The only option I wish was offered on the Trailhawk is 18" tires, especially for off roading. Keep up with the technology and SUV updates and I will continue to be a loyal Jeep customer--GO ANYWHERE-DO ANYTHING! Greg & Margie Tesitor

Nice review - Thanks! Just got one of these for my wife last month - she loves it so much she won't let me drive it. :( I took her off-roading (Tray Mtn near Helen, GA) a week after getting it so she could learn all the 4-wheeling knobs and dials (she did). She's now very confident with it. I'm very impressed with build quality, drivability, and sheer versatility (we have V6 w Tow Pkg). We towed a Corolla on a dolly behind it and had no problems with handling or sway. Only negative might be that with auto-start, the Jeep can seem a little sluggish off the line (even with V6). I could disable auto-start, but it's better that I just learn not to be so aggressive on the gas slapper. We love this car and are looking forward to adventuring in it.

Nice job! Might be of interest to some potential buyers, but there are a number of additional features available from lane sense, to automated parking, proximity alarms, automatic speed and braking emergency systems. Really fun and relaxing to drive with all the gadgets.

We had a really snowy winter and my car was stuck in the driveway, so I decided to look for an SUV and trade my car in. I wanted a Jeep because I'm a previous Jeep owner and I found this model without having ever seen any ads about it. I really love the design and it got me through winter like a charm. I was flying through 20 inches of snow like I was on a freakin'snowmobile! But now that I've seen these review vids after-the-fact I'm really proud of the vehicle and inspired for future modifications. I hope that all those previous issues are in the past. The new updated software is much more mature. It's too bad that the first people to buy these models basically had to be the test dummies for the new 9speed transmission. Everyone who has an electronic trans is functioning as testers whether they know it or not. Once it's common and has been around for a while I imagine there will be less computer glitches. The 2017 software seems to be functioning smoothly.

Test drove one of these yesterday. Absolutely loved it. Unfortunately won't be able to purchase it as the back cargo area is simply too small for some of the items I'm required to carry (i.e. wheelchair). There was also one other issue that came up that would have also been a deal killer for me that I will mention here. The FM radio reception was absolutely horrible.....to the point it was almost comical. The dealership will most likely have the radio tuned to the XM satellite radio stations (which came in fine) but if you listen to a lot of local radio make sure you test the FM radio out before buying. Maybe I had a "lemon" but the model I tested produced nothing but static on many of our local stations.

ragingjim hey, i am planning to buy a trailhawk. Do you have 2.4 ltr engine or 3.2? Is it fine to get 4 cylinder?
@ragingjim
@ragingjim 7 лет назад
Hi Anshul, I have the 3.2 liter. I wanted the bigger engine because I think it will be better for off road capability. So far I'm averaging 23 MPG so I'm very happy with the 6 cylinder. Really couldn't give a definitive answer about the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder though.
@anshul567
@anshul567 7 лет назад
ragingjim thanks for replying buddy, i think i'd settle for 2.4. I am not going for any off road trip in near future plus if i could save some bucks on 2.4, that would be a plus.

Thanks for posting this video. We just bought a Trailhawk; with all those controls, you need to be an astronaut to run it. My only criticism of your video is the towing capacity. If the Trailhawk comes from the factory with the towing option, it has the auxiliary tranny cooler and better suspension to handle 4,500 lbs. If you add a trailer hitch--after the fact and even with the 3.2--you can only pull 2,000 lbs. I think this is important for a person to know if they had plans to tow with it.
@HowToCarGuy
@HowToCarGuy 7 лет назад
+A Stanton1966 Thank you for your positive feedback, I'm truly grateful! Also, thank your for your keen eye in catching that tow capacity fact! I will definitely correct that (I will have to make a note in the comments section). Would you mind if I mentioned you in the comment? I would like to give you credit for catching that and helping our little community understand this Jeep a little better. Thanks again and I hope you enjoy your new Trail Hawk! Brock

I don't mind the credit. I learned two new things watching your video, it was very helpful. I should note our salesman spent 90 minutes on the Trailhawk's features when we picked it up. The one thing I find most annoying on the Trailhawk is the idle mode where it shuts itself off. I think it would be nice to show how this mode can be by-passed by pressing the "A" button.

good review, but the non trailhawk models also have a selector switch for the 4x4 mode, the AD1. the selector has, Auto, Snow, Sport and Mud/Sand. No locker or low range or Rock mode. But still very capable.

I just bought the 2016 Trailhawk without the tow package. Mine had the V6, and auxiliary transmission fluid cooler. I added the Class III tow hitch. My understanding is this now is capable of towing 4500 pounds. Is this not correct? I was told there was no difference in the suspension with the factory tow package.

Brock, I find the lights on this Jeep to be particularly striking and distinctive. While reviewing the lights, you mentioned that it's interesting that the daytime running lights are positioned above the headlights, which I found unique as well. Is there a functionality reason that the lights are arranged in that manner?

I really like my 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk, but will not keep it at the end of the least. This Trailhawk has all the signs of a lemon, the electronics in this Jeep have a mind all of its own. Randomly Driving on the freeway at 65mph the Jeep shuts down all electronics engine shuts down ALL the dash lights out, and then in about 10 seconds the Jeep starts up on its own like nothing happened. Oh yeah sometimes it can't find the FOB even though I used it to get in and and all the buttons on the FOB work except the remote start I keep pressing the start button can't find FOB and I carry both FOB'S with me. I can go on and on

Ya your right , rented one for week to go to mountains, was terrible always looking for right gear to be in, and tons of over reving. If it had only 5 or 6 speed tran would have be much better. If it wasn't for transmission would have probably considered buying one. Great sound system!

Can the Trailhawk tow two jet ski?
@mako2350
@mako2350 6 лет назад
yes, it can tow 4500lbs with the V6 engine. I just got a 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk, having traded in my 2015 Cherokee Latitude. The 2019 has a VERY much more solid feel to it and MUCH more power from the 4 cyl my old one had. I still haven't taken mine off road yet but have no doubts in its capabilities and when I get the time will go to kinda local 4 wheel drive park and have a ball!!!

Price retention has a lot more to do with how many of that particular vehicle is on the road, and discounts on current year models. Jeep sells massively to fleets, and always has huge discounts on current year models.
