I have a Nissan 350z and I have a Big Bear pro street Sled chopper. My Slingshot gets more usage than my other vehicles. All the haters commenting need to by a Miata or a Honda. I'll take my custom Slingshot with a DDM/Rotrex Supercharger on it and run circles around you. The Slingshot is more unique than any vehicle you can buy for $20,000. Base price for the 2015 was that.
I think that the Slingshot is one hell of a vehicle, but if I had the extra money I'd really want a Morgan Three Wheeler or perhaps a Vanderhall. But to be fair, I don't think there is a wrong choice.
The cost is a factor but folks forget those large Harley's can cost about the same! I wonder if you could still drive it if you got caught in rain or would you be grounded like motorcycles under a random bridge?
PRETTY MUCH!! THE RIDE HAS NO PROBLEM GETTING WET, BUT THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD GETS PRETTY SLICK FOR THAT BACK TIRE, ALSO PUDDLES IN THE MIDDLE MAKE YOU SKID, I ACTUALLY GOT CAUGHT IN THE RAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AND SPUN OUT OF CONTROL HITTING THE MEDIAN, THANK GOD NOTHING HAPPENED TO ME. I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR AN EXIT OR A BRIDGE BUT DIDNT FIND ONE BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE.
Never did say, does it have a radio, or would you even be able to hear it while your wearing your helmet, that is if a helmet is actually required to drive this.....
300 at the wheels would be stupid power for a CRX. My 2007 BMW 335i with a jb4 tuner on map 5 only put down 333 hp to the wheels on pump gas. That car was putting down about 4 sec flat to 60. It was doing 4.9 sec 0-60 before the tune. My last C6 couldn't get under 5 seconds to 60 with the auto. What does this slingshot do 60 in? Anyone know?
Wow, so it loses the manuverability of a motorcycle and yet still suffers with the lack of safety gear and crash protection of a car. Sounds like a f***ng death trap to me.
