2017 Subaru Forester OEM Front Lip Installation

I just installed mine already and it looks amazing! Here's the thing, Subaru of Maple gave me a discount available for Silver cause they have many in stock which is approx. $100 CDN cheaper. Because my car colour is Sepia Bronze, which unfortunately they have none as they are 2015-16 accessories, so I went to the nearest body shop (which also belongs with Maple of Subaru) in Vaughan to match the paint colour! About a week later, I received my items and installed it a week later, installed without much difficult except raising my front of my car in order to put my drill to access it! When installing it, keep in mind the adhesive tape on the top surface bumper portion, which is the longest tape area from the middle, below the big grille, make sure you don't leave uneven gaps! Unfortunately it left the driver side a tiny gap between the grille and the fog lights! I pushed it as much as possible to correct it! However I'm not concern cause it's barely notice and the rest of the adhesive tape and bolts are holding on! Happy installation Fozzie fans!

Hello from the east coast Canada. Thanks for the video, I wouldn't even notice the four drill spot if I didn't see this video before I put mine on. I just installed a STI front lip to my 2016 Forester XT perfectly thanks for this video. Although here is a little bit different (the two plastic plugs) from 14-16 Forester to this 17 forester. But to those who are looking to (and you really should) install a front lip on to their 2014+ plus Forester XT (either STI or OEM front lip), please please refer to this video. Its easy to DIY and only take you 40 min to an hour, the car looks way better with the front lip. This should be the first mod on these vehicles.

That looks tough and aggressive, keep up the good vids and project coming. I have a 2014 XT, which I'm doing engine and exaust mods first, then suspension and brakes, at this moment saving for a Cobb AP before I'll press on to more projects.

I had a shop install this front lip on my 2016 xt, and now I am looking to swap out the stock fog lights with plug and play morimoto yellow LED's. it seems easy enough to do myself, but am I going to be able to get to the fog lights from the undercarriage with this lip installed? I see in a lot of videos there are clips to pop off to remove the plastic housing and not sure if they're being blocked by the lip (car is in the shop for a couple days at the moment so I can't check myself). thanks!

Where I live there are a ton of rock trucks. This would be SO chipped in no time for me. Looks good on your Forester though dude! When are you going to put those winter wheels/tires on? I cant wait to see what it looks like!

loved the video as well as your others on the forester xt...i think the aero spoiler looks much better than the jdm sti one. I would love to get one in black. I live in San Diego, and I know what you mean about the shipping problems. I have talked to a dealer in Vancouver. And he said that he would order me one, but they do not ship to the US and I would have to arrange the shipping. I am almost tempted to drive to Vancouver and have it installed there.

After having owned this vehicle for a bit now, have you noticed an abnormal number of stone chips on the front bumper? I also have a 17XT crystal white (Canadian / Ontario) car and can't get over how easily the front bumper chips. Im trying to figure out, is it just mine or is this an issue that others have.

Does this go over the existing front lip?

However, the ‘Front Underspoiler’ you installed clearly fits great on your 2017. Can please confirm what model year(s) the part you installed is meant for? Since it fits so well, I want to move forward with that version instead of waiting for Subaru to ‘maybe’ come out with a 2017 version. Thanks!!
